Instruction Manual

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the WOLTU Garden Greenhouse. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient assembly, operation, and maintenance of your greenhouse. Please read these instructions carefully before beginning assembly and retain them for future reference.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Always assemble the greenhouse on a level, stable surface.
  • Ensure all connections are secure before use.
  • Do not use the greenhouse in extreme weather conditions such as strong winds or heavy snow without additional anchoring.
  • Keep children and pets away from the assembly area to prevent injury.
  • Regularly inspect the frame and cover for any damage or wear. Replace damaged parts immediately.
  • Do not hang heavy objects from the frame.

3. Package Contents

Before assembly, verify that all components listed below are present and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact customer service.

4. Setup and Assembly

The WOLTU Garden Greenhouse features an interlocking system for easy assembly without the need for additional tools. Follow these steps for proper setup:

  1. Assemble the Steel Frame: Connect the steel tubes using the provided plastic fittings. Ensure each tube is fully inserted into the connectors to form a rigid structure. Refer to the diagram for the correct frame configuration.
  2. Attach the PE Tarpaulin Cover: Carefully drape the PE tarpaulin cover over the assembled steel frame. Use the integrated straps to securely connect the fabric cover to the metal frame at various points.
  3. Secure the Base: Position the black PE fabric base on the ground inside the greenhouse frame. This base helps protect against weed growth and pest invasion.
  4. Anchor the Greenhouse: For enhanced stability, especially in windy conditions, anchor the greenhouse to the ground. Use the provided ground pegs and adjustable windbreak ropes to secure the structure. The extended rear section of the cover can be weighted down with rocks or soil for additional stability.

5. Operating Instructions

The WOLTU Garden Greenhouse is designed to create a favorable microclimate for your plants, protecting them from various environmental factors.

5.1 Plant Protection

The greenhouse provides effective protection against:

  • Cold and heat loss
  • Frost
  • Rain and excessive moisture
  • Harmful UV radiation
  • Insects and pests

It helps preserve light and moisture, promoting healthy growth for seedlings and sensitive plants.

5.2 Ventilation and Climate Control

To regulate the internal climate and provide access to your plants, the greenhouse features:

  • Arc-shaped Roll-up Door: The main zippered door can be rolled up and secured with cords to allow for easy access and significant airflow.
  • Side Windows: One breathable side window with a zipper allows for additional ventilation.

Open the door and window as needed to prevent overheating and ensure adequate air circulation, especially on warm days.

5.3 Weed and Pest Control

The integrated black PE fabric base provides an additional layer of protection against weed growth and helps deter ground-dwelling pests from entering the greenhouse area.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the lifespan of your WOLTU Garden Greenhouse.

  • Cleaning the Cover: Clean the PE tarpaulin cover periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or brushes that could damage the material. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Frame Inspection: Annually inspect the steel frame for any signs of rust or damage. While the frame is rust-proof, prolonged exposure to harsh conditions can affect its integrity.
  • Zipper Care: Keep zippers clean and lubricated with a silicone-based spray to ensure smooth operation.
  • Anchoring Check: Regularly check the ground pegs and windbreak ropes to ensure they remain securely anchored, especially after strong winds.
  • Winter Storage (Optional): If not used during winter, disassemble the greenhouse and store the components in a dry, protected area to prevent wear and tear.

7. Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:

  • Greenhouse is unstable: Ensure all frame connections are tight. Verify that ground pegs are fully inserted and windbreak ropes are taut. Consider adding additional weights to the extended rear section of the cover.
  • Poor ventilation/Overheating: Open the zippered door and side window to increase airflow. Ensure no obstructions are blocking the vents.
  • Water pooling on roof: The sharp roof design is intended to prevent water buildup. Ensure the cover is taut and properly secured to the frame. If sagging occurs, re-adjust the cover.
  • Zipper sticking: Clean the zipper teeth and apply a small amount of silicone lubricant. Avoid forcing the zipper.
