1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your MINISFORUM NAB6 Lite Mini PC. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and longevity.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Connecting Peripherals

1. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC 19V port on the rear of the Mini PC, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
2. Display Connection: Connect your monitor(s) to the Mini PC using the HDMI ports or USB-C ports. The device supports up to four 4K displays simultaneously.
3. Keyboard and Mouse: Connect your USB keyboard and mouse to any available USB 3.2 Type-A ports.
4. Network Connection: For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable to one of the two 2.5 Gigabit RJ45 LAN ports. For wireless, ensure your Wi-Fi network is available.

3.2 Initial Boot-up

Press the power button located on the front of the Mini PC. The system will initiate the boot process. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial Windows 11 setup, including language, region, and network configuration.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Restart

• Power On: Press the power button once.
• Power Off: Click 'Start' > 'Power' > 'Shut down' in Windows. Alternatively, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to force shut down (use only when necessary).
• Restart: Click 'Start' > 'Power' > 'Restart' in Windows.

4.2 Display Configuration

The NAB6 Lite supports up to four independent displays simultaneously, utilizing its two HDMI ports and two USB-C ports (4K@60Hz each). To configure multiple displays in Windows, right-click on the desktop, select 'Display settings', and arrange your monitors as desired.

4.3 Network Connectivity

The Mini PC features dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports for high-speed wired connections and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity. For Wi-Fi, navigate to 'Settings' > 'Network & Internet' > 'Wi-Fi' to connect to your preferred network. For Bluetooth, go to 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth & devices' to pair with compatible devices.

5. Maintenance and Upgrades

5.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the exterior of the Mini PC with a soft, dry cloth. Use compressed air to clear dust from the ventilation grilles to ensure optimal airflow and prevent overheating. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the device.

5.2 Storage and RAM Expansion

The NAB6 Lite Mini PC offers flexible upgrade options. It comes with a pre-installed M.2 2280 PCIe4.0 SSD (up to 2TB support) and two DDR4 SODIMM slots (up to 64GB total). Additionally, a 2.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD slot is available for further storage expansion (up to 2TB, drive not included).

The unique pop-up design allows for easy access to internal components for upgrades. Gently press down on the top cover to release and lift it, revealing the M.2 SSD, RAM slots, and 2.5-inch drive bay.

5.3 Heat Dissipation System

The NAB6 Lite features an optimized airway design and dual copper heat pipes to efficiently dissipate heat, ensuring stable performance even under heavy loads. Maintain clear ventilation paths around the device.

6. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your MINISFORUM NAB6 Lite Mini PC.

• No Power:
  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working power outlet.
  • Verify the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
  • Try a different power adapter if available and compatible.
• No Display:
  • Check that the HDMI or USB-C cable is firmly connected to both the Mini PC and the monitor.
  • Ensure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source.
  • Test with a different display cable or monitor if possible.
• Network Connectivity Issues:
  • For wired connections, ensure the Ethernet cable is properly connected and the router is functioning. Check network adapter drivers in Device Manager.
  • For Wi-Fi, ensure Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows settings and you are connected to the correct network. Restart your router.
• System Unresponsive / Freezing:
  • Perform a forced shutdown by holding the power button for 5 seconds.
  • If issues persist, consider reinstalling the operating system or checking for hardware faults.
• CMOS Reset:
  • If you encounter boot issues or BIOS problems, locate the CMOS reset button (often a small pinhole) on the device and press it with a paperclip for a few seconds while the device is off. Refer to Figure 2 for location.
