2.1 Key Features

2.2 Watch Components
The SKMEI 2209 watch features several buttons for navigation and function control:
- LIGHT Button: Activates the EL backlight.
- MODE Button: Cycles through different modes (Time, Pedometer, Chronograph, Countdown Timer, Alarm, Dual Time).
- START Button: Used to start/stop functions in Chronograph and Countdown Timer modes, and to adjust settings.
- RESET Button: Used to reset functions in Chronograph and Countdown Timer modes, and to adjust settings.

3. Setup
3.1 Initial Power On
Upon first use, the watch may require initial setup. If the display is blank, press any button to activate it. If the display remains blank, the battery may need replacement (refer to Maintenance section).
3.2 Setting Time and Date
- From the Time Display mode, press and hold the MODE button until the seconds begin to flash. This indicates setting mode.
- Press the RESET button to cycle through the settings: Seconds → Hour → Minute → Year → Month → Day → 12/24-hour format.
- Use the START button to adjust the flashing value.
- Once all settings are correct, press the MODE button to exit the setting mode.
3.3 Setting Alarm
- Press the MODE button repeatedly until you reach the Alarm mode (indicated by an alarm icon).
- Press and hold the START button until the hour digit flashes.
- Use the RESET button to adjust the hour.
- Press the START button to move to the minute setting, then use the RESET button to adjust the minutes.
- Press the START button again to confirm and exit alarm setting.
- To turn the alarm ON/OFF, press the RESET button in Alarm mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Mode Navigation
Press the MODE button to cycle through the following functions:
- Time Display
- Pedometer
- Chronograph (Stopwatch)
- Countdown Timer
- Alarm
- Dual Time
4.2 Pedometer Function
The watch features a built-in pedometer to track your steps, distance, and calories burned.
- Navigate to Pedometer mode using the MODE button.
- The display will show your current step count, distance, and estimated calories burned.
- To reset the pedometer data, press and hold the RESET button in Pedometer mode.

4.3 Compass Function
The integrated compass provides directional information. For accurate readings, ensure the watch is held horizontally and away from strong magnetic fields.
- Navigate to the Compass display mode (usually integrated into the main time display or a dedicated mode).
- Orient the watch horizontally. The compass needle on the display will indicate magnetic north.

4.4 Chronograph (Stopwatch)
- Navigate to Chronograph mode using the MODE button.
- Press START to begin timing.
- Press START again to pause timing.
- Press RESET to clear the stopwatch to zero.
- To record lap times, press RESET while the stopwatch is running. The lap time will display briefly, and the stopwatch will continue timing in the background.
4.5 Countdown Timer
- Navigate to Countdown Timer mode using the MODE button.
- To set the countdown time, press and hold the START button until the hour/minute digits flash.
- Use the RESET button to adjust the flashing value (hours, then minutes, then seconds).
- Press START to confirm each setting.
- Once the time is set, press START to begin the countdown.
- Press START again to pause the countdown.
- Press RESET to reset the timer to its initial set value.
4.6 Dual Time
The Dual Time function allows you to view a second time zone.
- Navigate to Dual Time mode using the MODE button.
- Press and hold the START button until the hour digit flashes.
- Use the RESET button to adjust the hour.
- Press the START button to move to the minute setting, then use the RESET button to adjust the minutes.
- Press the START button again to confirm and exit Dual Time setting.
4.7 EL Backlight
Press the LIGHT button to illuminate the display for a few seconds, improving visibility in dark conditions.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the watch with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using chemical cleaners, as they may damage the watch's finish or seals.
5.2 Water Resistance
The watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming in shallow water, and general water sports. Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged, as this can compromise the water seal. Avoid exposure to hot water or steam, which can damage the seals.

5.3 Battery Replacement
The watch uses a CR2025 battery. When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance seal is maintained.

6. Troubleshooting
