Lutown-Teen 18 Inch King Metal Platform Bed Frame with Storage Cover Skirt

Instruction Manual

Model: LTBC5018 | Brand: Lutown-Teen

1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, use, and maintenance of your Lutown-Teen 18 Inch King Metal Platform Bed Frame with Storage Bed Cover Skirt. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly and retain this manual for future reference. This bed frame is designed to provide a sturdy and noise-free foundation for your mattress, eliminating the need for a box spring.

2. Safety Information

  • Do not load more than 2500 pounds on the bed frame. Exceeding this limit may cause damage or injury.
  • Exercise caution with sharp edges during assembly to prevent injury. It is recommended to wear gloves.
  • Follow all assembly instructions precisely to ensure the stability and safety of the bed frame.
  • Ensure all bolts and screws are securely tightened before initial use. Periodically check and re-tighten all fasteners as necessary to maintain structural integrity and prevent noise.
  • Keep small parts and packaging materials away from children and pets during assembly.
  • Assemble the bed frame on a soft, clean surface (e.g., a rug or cardboard) to prevent scratching the product or your floor.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and undamaged before starting assembly. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact Lutown-Teen customer support immediately.

4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly typically takes 20-30 minutes with two people. Ensure you have sufficient space to work comfortably.

  1. Unpack and Identify: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface. Identify each component and compare it with the package contents list to ensure everything is present.
  2. Assemble Frame Sections: Connect the main frame sections (side rails and end rails) using the provided bolts, washers, and nuts. Use the Allen wrench and spanner. Do not fully tighten bolts until all sections are loosely connected and aligned.
  3. Attach Support Legs: Securely attach all support legs to the frame. Ensure they are oriented correctly and firmly attached for maximum stability.
  4. Install Slats: Place the metal slats across the frame. The slats are designed to support your mattress directly, eliminating the need for a box spring. Ensure they are evenly spaced (approximately 7.44 inches apart for King size) and securely fastened if applicable.
  5. Tighten All Fasteners: Once the entire frame is assembled and properly aligned, go back and securely tighten all bolts and screws. Over-tightening is not necessary, but ensure a firm connection.
  6. Attach Anti-scratch Foot Covers: Place the anti-scratch foot covers on the bottom of each leg to protect your flooring from scratches.
  7. Apply Bed Cover Skirt: Drape the blue bed cover skirt over the assembled frame. Fasten the inside bed cover velcro strips onto the bed frame rails to prevent the skirt from slipping and to create a tidy, unified appearance.

5. Usage and Operation

  • Mattress Placement: Place your King size mattress directly onto the metal slats. A box spring is not required due to the robust slat support system.
  • Weight Capacity: The bed frame is designed to support a maximum weight of 2500 pounds. Distribute weight evenly across the surface.
  • Under-bed Storage: The 18-inch height provides ample under-bed storage space. Utilize this area for organizing items such as storage bins, seasonal clothing, or luggage.
  • Bed Cover Skirt: The included bed cover skirt helps conceal items stored under the bed, maintaining a neat and organized appearance. Ensure the velcro is securely fastened to prevent the skirt from shifting.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Frame: Wipe the metal frame with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the polished finish.
  • Bed Cover Skirt Care: The bed cover skirt is removable for cleaning. Please refer to the care label on the skirt for specific washing instructions.
  • Regular Inspection: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten any fasteners if looseness is detected to maintain stability and prevent potential noise.
