3. Setup

3.2. Network Connection (Wi-Fi)

1. Add Device: In the TUYA Smart app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device. Select "Security & Video Surveillance" and then choose "Smart Camera (Wi-Fi)" or a similar option.
2. Power On Camera: Ensure the camera is powered on and in pairing mode. The camera's indicator light should be blinking, indicating it's ready for connection.
3. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the app's instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. You may need to scan a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera's lens.
4. Device Naming: Once connected, you can name your camera for easy identification (e.g., "Front Door Camera," "Backyard Camera").

3.3. Mounting the Camera

The Denver IOB-209 is designed for outdoor wall mounting.

1. Choose Location: Select a suitable outdoor location that provides the desired viewing angle and is within range of your Wi-Fi network. Ensure the camera is positioned to avoid direct sunlight or strong light sources that could affect image quality.
2. Mark Drill Holes: Use the wall mounting bracket as a template to mark the positions for drilling holes on the wall.
3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions and insert the wall plugs.
4. Attach Bracket: Secure the wall mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
5. Mount Camera: Attach the camera unit to the mounting bracket. Adjust the camera's angle to achieve the optimal viewing area.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Live View

To view the live feed from your camera:

• Open the TUYA Smart app on your smartphone.
• Select your Denver IOB-209 camera from the device list.
• The live video stream will appear on your screen.

4.2. Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera uses a PIR sensor to detect motion and send alerts:

• When motion is detected, the camera will automatically begin recording and send a real-time notification to your smartphone via the TUYA Smart app.
• You can customize motion detection sensitivity and alert settings within the app.

4.3. Two-Way Audio

To use the two-way audio feature:

• While viewing the live feed in the app, tap the microphone icon.
• Speak into your smartphone's microphone to transmit your voice through the camera's speaker.
• Release the microphone icon to listen through the camera's microphone.

4.4. Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions, utilizing its infrared LEDs for clear black-and-white video up to 20 meters.

4.5. Recording and Storage

Recordings triggered by motion detection or manually initiated can be stored in two ways:

• MicroSD Card: Insert a microSD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the camera's designated slot for local storage. Recordings will be saved directly to the card.
• Cloud Storage: The TUYA Smart app may offer optional cloud storage services (subscription required, sold separately) for remote access and backup of your recordings.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Management

The camera's batteries provide extended operation. When the battery level is low, you will receive a notification via the app. Recharge the camera using the provided USB cable and a 5V power adapter. Battery life can vary based on usage frequency and environmental conditions.

5.2. Cleaning

To ensure optimal performance, periodically clean the camera lens and casing. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away dust and dirt. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the lens or housing.

5.3. Weather Resistance

The Denver IOB-209 camera features a weather-resistant design suitable for outdoor use. However, avoid submerging the camera in water or exposing it to extreme temperatures beyond its operating range.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Denver IOB-209 camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Camera not connecting to Wi-Fi:
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz networks.
  • Check that the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • Verify your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly in the app.
  • Restart your router and the camera, then attempt to reconnect.
• No motion detection alerts:
  • Check the motion detection settings in the TUYA Smart app to ensure it's enabled and sensitivity is adjusted appropriately.

  • Verify that app notifications are enabled on your smartphone.
• Poor video quality:

• Short battery life:
  • Frequent motion detection events and live viewing will consume more battery power.
