2. Safety Instructions

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the tool:

  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves when operating the impact wrench.
  • Secure Workpiece: Ensure the workpiece is stable and secured before applying torque.
  • Proper Air Supply: Connect the tool to a clean, dry, regulated air supply within the specified pressure range (200 psi max).
  • Inspect Tool: Before each use, inspect the tool for any damage, loose parts, or air leaks. Do not use a damaged tool.
  • Avoid Over-tightening: Do not over-tighten fasteners. Use a torque wrench for final torque specifications if precision is required.
  • Disconnect Air Supply: Always disconnect the air supply before changing accessories, performing maintenance, or when the tool is not in use.
  • Keep Hands Clear: Keep hands and body parts clear of rotating parts and the impact area.
  • Use Correct Sockets: Only use impact-rated sockets that are in good condition.
  • Work Area: Ensure your work area is well-lit and free of clutter.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the impact wrench and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Air Supply Connection:
    • Ensure your air compressor is capable of providing the required air pressure and volume (refer to specifications).
    • Install the quick connector (if not already installed) onto the air inlet of the impact wrench.
    • Connect a 1/2-inch air hose from your air compressor to the quick connector on the tool. Ensure the connection is secure and free of leaks.
    • It is recommended to use an air filter/regulator/lubricator (FRL) unit in your air line to ensure clean, dry, and lubricated air supply, which prolongs tool life.
  3. Lubrication: Before first use, and regularly thereafter, add a few drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet. This lubricates the internal components.
  4. Socket Attachment: Select the appropriate impact-rated socket for your application. Push the socket firmly onto the 1-inch square drive anvil until it locks securely.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On Air Supply: Turn on your air compressor and adjust the air pressure to the recommended operating pressure (refer to specifications).
  2. Select Rotation Direction: Use the forward/reverse switch located near the handle to select the desired rotation direction (tighten or loosen).
  3. Adjust Torque/Speed: The tool features a 6-step power management system. Adjust the setting to control the output torque and speed according to the fastener and application requirements. Start with a lower setting and increase if more power is needed.
  4. Position the Tool: Place the socket squarely onto the fastener. Ensure a firm grip on the tool with both hands, utilizing the D-handle for stability.
  5. Engage Trigger: Slowly depress the trigger to begin operation. The tool will deliver impacts to the fastener.
  6. Monitor Progress: Observe the fastener. For tightening, stop when the desired tightness is achieved. For loosening, continue until the fastener breaks free.
  7. Release Trigger: Release the trigger to stop the tool.
  8. Disconnect: When finished, or before changing sockets, always disconnect the air supply.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your impact wrench.

  • Lubrication: Add 5-10 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet before each use, or at least once daily if used frequently. This lubricates the motor and impact mechanism.
  • Air Filter: Regularly check and clean or replace the air filter in your air supply system to prevent contaminants from entering the tool.
  • Cleaning: Keep the tool clean and free of dirt, dust, and debris. Wipe down the exterior with a clean cloth. Do not use harsh solvents.
  • Inspect Hoses and Connections: Periodically check air hoses and connections for wear, cracks, or leaks. Replace damaged components immediately.
  • Anvil and Retainer Ring: Inspect the square drive anvil and retainer ring for wear. Replace if they show signs of excessive wear or damage to ensure proper socket retention.
  • Storage: Store the tool in a dry, clean environment when not in use. Disconnect from air supply.
