4. Operating Instructions

The light can be operated using the button on the device or the included remote control. It features three distinct lighting modes:

  • Mode 1 (Dim Light & Motion Sensor Mode): The light stays at 30% brightness at night and automatically switches to 100% brightness for 15 seconds when motion is detected.
  • Mode 2 (Motion Sensor Mode): The light remains off at night and turns on to 100% brightness for 15 seconds only when motion is detected.
  • Mode 3 (Dim Light Mode): The light stays at 10% brightness continuously throughout the night, without motion sensor activation.

To switch between modes, press the mode button on the light or use the corresponding numbered buttons (1, 2, 3) on the remote control. The ON/OFF button on the remote can completely shut off the light (Mode 4).

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your LIFENGSOLER outdoor light, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Clean Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption for efficient charging.
  • Check for Obstructions: Ensure no trees, buildings, or other objects are blocking direct sunlight from reaching the solar panel, especially during peak charging hours.
  • Inspect for Damage: Periodically check the light for any physical damage. Although it is IP68 waterproof, severe impacts can compromise its integrity.
  • Battery Care: While the battery is designed for long life, avoid prolonged storage in extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, ensure it has a partial charge.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Light Not Turning On at Night:
    • Ensure the solar panel is receiving sufficient direct sunlight during the day (6-8 hours recommended).
    • Check if the light is in the correct operating mode (Mode 1, 2, or 3). Use the remote or button to cycle through modes.
    • Verify there are no external light sources (streetlights, other house lights) near the sensor that might prevent it from activating.
    • The battery might be completely drained. Try charging via the Type-C USB port.
  • Motion Sensor Not Responding:
    • Confirm the light is in Mode 1 or Mode 2, which utilize the motion sensor.
    • Ensure the mounting height is within the optimal range (4.92 to 8.2 ft).
    • Clear any obstructions in front of the motion sensor.
    • Test the sensor by walking directly in front of it.
  • Light Brightness is Low or Short Duration:
    • The solar panel may not be getting enough direct sunlight. Relocate the light to a sunnier spot.
    • Clean the solar panel surface to remove any dirt or grime.
    • Battery capacity might be reduced due to prolonged cloudy weather or age. Ensure full charging cycles.
