3. Setup
3.1 Package Contents
Before you begin, ensure all items are present in the package:
- 1 x G102 GSM Gate Opener Unit
- 1 x Boost Antenna
- 1 x Connection Port (Terminal Block)
- 1 x User Description (this manual)
3.2 SIM Card Installation
- Ensure the G102 unit is powered off.
- Locate the SIM card slot on the device.
- Insert a standard GSM SIM card into the slot. Ensure the SIM card is active and has sufficient credit for SMS communication (if using SMS commands).
3.3 Antenna Connection
- Locate the antenna port on the G102 unit, typically labeled 'ANT'.
- Screw the provided boost antenna firmly into the antenna port. Ensure it is securely connected for optimal signal reception.

3.4 Power Connection
- Connect a DC 9-15V power supply to the '12V' and 'GND' terminals on the G102's terminal block. Observe polarity: '+' to '12V' and '-' to 'GND'.
- Once powered, the 'Power' indicator light should illuminate.
3.5 Wiring for Gate/Machine Control (Relay Output)
The G102 provides a relay output to control your gate or machine. This output acts as a switch.
- Identify the 'Relay' terminals on the G102's terminal block. These are typically labeled '01+' and '01-'.
- Connect these terminals to the control input of your gate opener, garage door motor, or other machinery. Refer to your gate/machine's manual for specific wiring instructions for a dry contact input.

3.6 Wiring for Digital Inputs (Sensors)
The G102 has two digital inputs for connecting sensors like door contacts or motion sensors.
- Locate the 'In1' and 'In2' terminals on the G102's terminal block.
- Connect your sensors to these inputs. When a sensor is triggered, the G102 can send an SMS alert.
3.7 Adding Authorized Numbers
Only authorized numbers can operate the G102. You can add or remove users via SMS commands. The device supports up to 999 authorized phone numbers.
- To add a user: Send an SMS command from the administrator's phone to the G102's SIM card number. (Specific SMS command format is usually provided in a separate quick start guide or on the device itself. Example:
#ADD[Password]#[PhoneNumber]#) - To remove a user: Send an SMS command from the administrator's phone. (Example:
#DEL[Password]#[PhoneNumber]#)
4. Operating Instructions
The G102 GSM Gate Opener offers multiple ways to control your access points.
4.1 Remote Control via Phone Call
The primary method of operation is by making a call to the G102. When an authorized number calls the device, the G102 will reject the call and then activate its relay, opening or closing the connected gate/machine. This method incurs no call charges.

4.2 Opening by Shaking Mobile Phone
Some models or configurations may support opening the door by shaking your mobile phone after calling the device. This feature enhances convenience for quick access.

4.3 Relay Closure Time
The duration for which the relay remains activated can be configured. This is important for controlling the open/close cycle of gates or the on/off duration of machines. The relay closure time can typically be set between 0000-9999 (units usually in seconds or milliseconds, refer to specific SMS commands for details).
5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your G102 GSM Gate Opener, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Connections: Regularly check all wired connections (power, relay, sensors, antenna) to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Environment: Ensure the device is installed in a location that adheres to the specified working temperature and humidity ranges. Protect it from direct sunlight, excessive moisture, and extreme temperatures.
- SIM Card: Ensure the SIM card remains active and has sufficient credit.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your G102 GSM Gate Opener, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Device not responding to calls:
- Ensure the device is powered on (Power LED illuminated).
- Check if the SIM card is properly inserted and active.
- Verify that the calling number is an authorized number.
- Check GSM signal strength (Status LED might indicate signal). Relocate the antenna if signal is weak.
- Ensure the SIM card has not run out of credit or expired.
- Gate/machine not activating:
- Confirm the G102 is responding to calls (it should reject the call).
- Check the wiring between the G102's relay output and the gate/machine control input.
- Ensure the gate/machine's control input is functioning correctly.
- Verify the relay closure time setting is appropriate for your application.
- Cannot add/remove authorized numbers via SMS:
- Ensure the SMS command format is correct, including the password.
- Verify that the sending phone number is the administrator's number.
- Check if the SIM card in the G102 has SMS service enabled and sufficient credit.
- No SMS alerts from sensors:
- Check the wiring of the sensors to the 'In1'/'In2' terminals.
- Ensure the SMS alert feature is configured correctly for the digital inputs.
- Verify the SIM card has SMS service and credit.
