Product Overview

The Finest-Filters FF-AQ35-2 water boiler filter is designed to provide clean, great-tasting water for your Instanta and Zip water boilers. This multi-stage filtration cartridge ensures optimal performance of your boiler by protecting it from hard and soft water issues, while removing impurities that affect taste and odor.

Each filter cartridge is engineered for a 6-month lifespan, ensuring consistent water quality and boiler protection.

Installation Instructions

This filter can be integrated into compatible Instanta water boilers or fitted externally into the mains water feed using an AQ35 kit. Follow these steps for proper installation:

1. Prepare the System: Turn the existing cartridge slowly to the left (approximately 1/4 turn) until it stops and the arrows align. This action closes both inlet and outlet ports, relieving water pressure.
2. Remove Used Cartridge: Pull the used cartridge straight down and discard it. Be aware that a small amount of residual water may drain during this step.
3. Install New Cartridge: Remove the sanitary cap from the top of the new cartridge. Moisten the O-ring with water. Push the new cartridge into the filter head. Turn the cartridge 1/4 turn to the right until it stops. The top surface of the cartridge should be flush with the bottom of the head when fully engaged, and the label should face forward.
4. Flush the System: Open the downstream valve (if applicable) and flush the new filter cartridge according to the Performance Data Sheet. This process expels any trapped air and carbon fines. Initial water may appear cloudy due to air, but it will quickly clear.

The FF-AQ35-2 filter utilizes a 4-stage filtration process to ensure high-quality water:

• Pre-filtration: Removes unwanted debris from your water supply.
• Fine Sediment Removal: Filters out fine sediment down to 3 microns, including microplastics, for safer drinking water.
• Taste & Odor Impurity Reduction: Effectively removes taste and odor impurities such as chlorine, resulting in purer, fresh-tasting water that enhances the flavor of hot beverages.
• Limescale Reduction: Reduces limescale build-up, which helps mitigate potential service and maintenance costs and improves energy efficiency of your water boiler.

Maintenance and Replacement

For optimal performance and to protect your water boiler, the FF-AQ35-2 filter cartridge must be replaced every 6 months. Regular replacement ensures continuous protection against hard and soft water issues and maintains the quality of your filtered water.

Troubleshooting

Cloudy Water After Installation

If water appears cloudy immediately after installing a new filter cartridge, this is typically due to trapped air and carbon fines being flushed out of the system. Continue flushing the filter as described in the installation steps. The water should clear quickly.
