5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Tradeweld Arcmaster 1500L-220V Inverter Welder:

  1. Placement: Place the welder on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials. Ensure adequate space around the unit for cooling.

6. Operating Instructions

  2. Select the desired welding mode (MMA for Stick welding or LIFT TIG if applicable) using the control panel.
  3. Adjust the welding current (Amperage) using the control knob. Refer to the welding rod size indicator and steel size indicator on the display for guidance based on your electrode and material thickness.
  4. The Hot Start and ARC Force features are typically automatic or adjustable via the control panel to optimize arc ignition and stability.

6.2 Welding Process (MMA/Stick Welding)

  1. Ensure the workpiece is clean and free of rust, paint, or grease.
  2. Position yourself comfortably and safely. Lower your welding helmet.
  3. Strike the arc by lightly scratching the electrode against the workpiece, similar to striking a match. Once the arc is established, maintain a consistent arc length and travel speed.
  4. Move the electrode along the joint, maintaining the puddle and ensuring proper penetration.
  5. When finished, break the arc by quickly pulling the electrode away from the workpiece.
  6. Allow the weld to cool before cleaning or inspecting.
