4. Initial Setup

Before using your binding machine for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack the Machine: Carefully remove the binding machine and all accessories from its packaging.
  2. Place on a Stable Surface: Position the machine on a flat, sturdy workbench or desk.
  3. Clean the Punching Blades: The machine is lubricated during manufacturing. To prevent oil stains on your documents, use the included oil-absorbing paper (or any scrap paper) to punch at least 5-6 times. This process removes excess lubricant from the punching blades.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Adjusting Paper Margin

The adjustable side margin guide ensures consistent hole placement for a professional finish.

  1. Locate the adjustable knob on the side of the machine.
  2. Rotate the knob to set the desired margin depth (e.g., 3mm, 5mm, 7mm). A deeper margin is often preferred for thicker documents to prevent pages from tearing out.
