3. Setup and Installation

The COOLECH JDAC69R is designed for plug-and-play operation with no complex assembly required.

3.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the air cooler and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Check for any damage during transit. If any damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact customer support.
  3. Ensure all components listed in Section 2.1 are present.

3.2 Preparing Ice Packs (Optional, for Enhanced Cooling)

The unit comes with two reusable ice packs to enhance the cooling effect.

  1. Step 1: Add water to the ice pack and shake it gently to activate the powdered gel inside.
  2. Step 2: Place the activated ice packs in a freezer for at least 6 hours until completely frozen.
  3. Step 3: Once frozen, place the ice packs into the water tank of the air cooler.

3.3 Filling the Water Tank

The unit features a 2.4-gallon detachable water tank with a top-fill design for easy access.

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged before filling.
  2. Open the top cover of the water tank.
  3. Pour clean water into the tank, ensuring the water level is between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' indicators. Do not overfill.
  4. If using ice packs, place them into the water tank before or after adding water.
  5. Close the top cover securely.

3.4 Placement

  • Place the air cooler on a firm, level surface.
  • Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.
  • This unit is a windowless design and does not require external venting, offering flexible placement options.
  • The 360° swivel wheels and built-in handle allow for easy movement between rooms.

4. Operation

The COOLECH JDAC69R can be controlled via its LED touch panel or the included remote control.

  • Power Key: Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
  • Speed Button: Cycles through 3 wind speeds: Low, Medium, High.
  • Mode Button: Selects from 4 operating modes: Normal, Natural, Sleep, Cooling.
  • Cool Button: Activates or deactivates the cooling function (requires water in the tank).
  • Swing Button: Activates or deactivates the 70° automatic oscillation.
  • Timer Button: Sets the auto shut-off timer from 1 to 12 hours.
  • Mute (Remote Only): Operates without beeping sounds when switching functions.

4.2 Operating Modes and Speeds

The unit offers various combinations of modes and speeds to customize your comfort.

  • Normal Mode: Provides a constant airflow at the selected speed.
  • Natural Mode: Simulates natural breeze by varying wind speed.
  • Sleep Mode: Operates quietly at low speed, ideal for nighttime use, with a noise level of approximately 40 dB.
  • Cooling Mode: Activates the evaporative cooling function, requiring water in the tank. This mode can reduce ambient temperature by converting water into a mist.

4.3 Timer Function

The 12-hour timer allows you to set the unit to automatically turn off after a specified duration.

Press the Timer button repeatedly to select the desired operating duration (1-12 hours). The unit will automatically power off once the set time has elapsed.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your air cooler.

5.1 Cleaning the Water Tank

The detachable bottom water tank is designed for easy cleaning.

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged.
  2. Carefully detach the bottom water tank from the main unit.
  3. Empty any remaining water.
  4. Clean the tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  5. Allow the tank to air dry completely before reattaching.

5.2 Cleaning the Cooling Pad

The high-density cooling pad is removable for cleaning.

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged.
  2. Remove the cooling pad access panel (refer to the unit's physical design for specific latch locations).
  3. Gently remove the cooling pad.
  4. Rinse the cooling pad under running water to remove dust and mineral deposits. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush.
  5. Allow the cooling pad to dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.

5.3 General Cleaning and Storage

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • For long-term storage, ensure the water tank and cooling pad are clean and dry. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.

6. Troubleshooting
