4. Setup
4.1 Installation Environment
Install the inverter in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated indoor area. Ensure the ambient temperature is within the operating range specified in the technical specifications. Maintain adequate clearance around the unit for proper airflow and heat dissipation.
4.2 Wiring Diagrams
The inverter supports both split-phase and single-phase configurations. Always ensure correct polarity and secure connections. Refer to the following diagrams for typical wiring setups.

Figure 4.2.1: Split-Phase Wiring Diagram

Figure 4.2.2: Single-Phase Wiring Diagram
Important Note: The open circuit voltage of the PV panel in series connection must be below 500V. Over-voltage will cause damage to the inverter and is not covered by warranty. The start-up voltage for the PV input is >130V.
4.3 Battery Compatibility and Batteryless Operation
This inverter is compatible with a wide range of 48V batteries, including AGM, colloidal, lead-acid, lithium-ion, and lithium iron phosphate batteries. It also features a dual activation function for Li-Ion batteries during sleep mode, allowing activation via mains or photovoltaic power.

Figure 4.3.1: Battery Compatibility
For batteryless operation, the voltage of the solar module should be more than 200 volts DC when no battery is connected.
4.4 Parallel Connection
The Y&H 10KW inverter supports parallel connection of up to 6 units to achieve higher power output for larger systems.

5. Operating
5.1 Charging Modes
The inverter offers four selectable charging modes to optimize energy flow:
- PV Only: Charges batteries solely from solar panels.
- Utility Priority: Prioritizes utility power for charging, supplementing with PV if available.
- PV Priority: Prioritizes solar power for charging, supplementing with utility if PV is insufficient.
- Utility/PV Hybrid Charging: Combines both utility and PV power for charging.
5.2 Output Modes
Three selectable output modes allow you to prioritize power sources for your loads:
- Solar Priority: Prioritizes solar power for loads, switching to battery or utility if solar is insufficient.
- Grid Priority: Prioritizes utility grid power for loads, switching to inverter/battery if grid is unavailable.
- SBU Priority: Prioritizes solar, then battery, then utility for loads.
5.3 Peak Shaving and Valley Filling
Utilize the timed slot utility charge/carry function and time slot battery discharge function to optimize energy consumption based on electricity tariffs. This allows you to charge batteries during off-peak hours and discharge them during peak hours, reducing electricity costs.
