Maintenance and Cleaning
1. Daily Cleaning:
- Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the grinder/filter basket assembly. Discard used coffee grounds.
- Separate the permanent filter from the grinder assembly by twisting.
- Rinse the permanent filter, grinder assembly, and drip tray under running water. Use the included cleaning brush to remove any stubborn coffee residues.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water.

2. Descaling:
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance and taste. Descaling is recommended every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaling product's instructions, or use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio).
- Pour the descaling solution into the water tank.
- Place an empty mug on the drip tray.
- Run a brewing cycle with the descaling solution.
- After the cycle, let the unit sit for 15-30 minutes.
- Run 2-3 cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
