4. Product Overview and Components

5. Setup

5.2 Bobbin Winding

1. Open the bobbin cover plate.
2. Insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds counter-clockwise.
3. Guide the bobbin thread through the tension spring slot.
4. Hold the upper thread lightly with one hand. Turn the handwheel towards you to lower the needle, catching the bobbin thread.
5. Pull the upper thread gently, and the bobbin thread will loop up through the needle plate opening.
6. Pull both threads (upper and bobbin) under the presser foot and towards the back of the machine.
7. Close the bobbin cover plate.

5.5 Presser Foot Attachment

1. Raise the needle and the presser foot lifter.
2. Press the black button on the back of the presser foot holder to release the current foot.
