1. Product Overview

2. Safety Information

• Assembly Required: This chair requires assembly. Always follow the provided assembly instructions carefully.
• Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum recommended weight of 150 kg (330 lbs).
• Adjustments: Exercise caution when adjusting height and tilt mechanisms to prevent injury. Ensure hands and fingers are clear of moving parts.

4. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your BAKAJI office chair. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.

1. Attach Wheels to Base: Insert each of the five wheels into the openings at the end of each leg of the 5-star base. Push firmly until they click into place.
2. Insert Gas Lift Cylinder: Place the gas lift cylinder into the central hole of the 5-star base. Ensure it is seated securely.
3. Attach Armrests to Seat: Align the armrests with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat. Secure them using the provided screws and Allen key. Do not overtighten.
4. Attach Backrest to Seat: Connect the backrest to the seat using the designated mounting points and hardware. Ensure a firm connection.
5. Connect Seat Assembly to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the central mechanism aligns with the top of the cylinder. Apply gentle downward pressure to secure.
6. Final Check: Verify that all screws are tightened and all components are securely in place before using the chair.

5. Operating Instructions

Your BAKAJI office chair offers several adjustable features to customize your seating experience.

• Height Adjustment: To adjust the seat height, locate the lever on the right side, beneath the seat.
  • To raise the seat: Lift the lever while taking your weight off the seat. The seat will rise automatically.
  • To lower the seat: Lift the lever while remaining seated. The seat will lower under your weight.
• Swivel Function: The chair is equipped with a 360° swivel mechanism, allowing for easy rotation in any direction. Simply rotate the seat as desired.
• Tilt/Recline Function: The chair features a single recline position. To recline, pull the lever on the left side, beneath the seat, outwards. Lean back to recline. Push the lever inwards to lock the chair in an upright position.
• Lumbar Support: The chair's backrest is ergonomically designed to provide integrated lumbar support, promoting a correct posture and reducing spinal pressure. This feature is fixed and not user-adjustable.

6. Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Wipe the chair regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For ecopelle (faux leather) surfaces, use a mild soap solution if necessary, then wipe dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Inspection: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Retighten if loose to maintain stability and safety.
• Wheel Care: Keep the wheels free of hair and debris to ensure smooth movement.
• Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the ecopelle material to fade or crack.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your chair, refer to the following common solutions:

• Chair Squeaks: Check all bolted connections and tighten them. A small amount of silicone spray on moving metal parts (avoiding the gas lift cylinder) may help.
• Height Adjustment Not Working: Ensure the gas lift lever is fully engaged or disengaged as required. If the gas lift cylinder is faulty, it may need replacement.
• Chair Feels Unstable: Verify that all wheels are securely inserted into the base and that the gas lift cylinder is properly seated. Check all assembly screws for tightness.
• Wheels Not Rolling Smoothly: Inspect wheels for trapped debris (hair, carpet fibers) and clean them.
