4. Setup
4.1 Assembly
Your wet/dry vac requires minimal assembly. Ensure all components listed in Section 3 are present before proceeding.
- Attach Casters: Insert the four durable casters into the caster feet on the base of the drum until they click securely into place.
- Attach Hose: Connect the 2-1/2-inch x 7-ft. hose to the intake port on the front of the drum for vacuuming. For blower function, connect it to the blowing port on the back.
- Attach Extension Wands and Nozzles: Connect the locking extension wands to the hose for extended reach. Attach the desired nozzle (Utility or Car Nozzle) to the end of the extension wand or directly to the hose.
- Accessory Storage: Utilize the on-board accessory storage slots on the caster feet and the top of the unit to keep your attachments organized.

4.2 Filter Installation (Dry Vacuuming)
The Qwik Lock Filter Fastening System allows for quick and easy filter changes.
- Ensure the unit is unplugged.
- Unlatch the side clips and remove the power head from the drum.
- The Qwik Lock Filter should already be installed for dry vacuuming. If not, slide the filter over the filter cage until it rests against the power head. Secure it by twisting the Qwik Lock cap clockwise until it locks.
- Replace the power head and secure the side clips.
4.3 Filter Installation (Wet Vacuuming)
For wet vacuuming, the Qwik Lock Filter must be removed and replaced with a foam wet filter (sold separately) or the filter cage should be left bare if using a compatible wet application filter.
- Ensure the unit is unplugged.
- Unlatch the side clips and remove the power head from the drum.
- Twist the Qwik Lock cap counter-clockwise to unlock and remove the dry filter.
- If using a foam wet filter, slide it over the filter cage. If using a compatible wet application filter, ensure it is correctly installed according to its instructions.
- Replace the power head and secure the side clips.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Dry Vacuuming
Ensure the Qwik Lock Filter is correctly installed for dry use.
- Connect the hose to the intake port on the front of the drum.
- Attach desired extension wands and nozzle.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded outlet.
- Turn the large on/off switch to the "ON" position.
- Begin vacuuming dry debris.
5.2 Wet Vacuuming
Ensure the appropriate filter setup for wet use is in place (dry filter removed, foam wet filter installed or compatible wet application filter).
- Connect the hose to the intake port on the front of the drum.
- Attach desired extension wands and nozzle.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded outlet.
- Turn the large on/off switch to the "ON" position.
- Begin vacuuming liquids. The vacuum will automatically shut off when the liquid level reaches its maximum capacity.
5.3 Blower Function
Your wet/dry vac can also function as a powerful blower.
- Ensure the unit is unplugged.
- Remove the hose from the intake port.
- Connect the hose to the blowing port located on the back of the power head.

6.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement
Regularly inspect and clean your filters to maintain optimal suction performance. Replace filters when they are worn or damaged.
- Dry Filter: Tap the filter gently to dislodge dust. For heavy dirt, wash with water and mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry completely before reinstallation.
- Foam Wet Filter: Rinse with water and mild soap. Allow to air dry completely before storing or using for wet vacuuming.

6.2 Emptying the Tank
For liquids, use the extra-large drain plug at the bottom of the drum for quick and easy emptying. For dry debris, unlatch the side clips, remove the power head, and carefully empty the drum contents into a waste receptacle. Compatible dust bags (CMXZVBE39970) can be used for cleaner disposal of dry debris.
