Setup and Assembly
1. Connecting the Poles
Align the notch on the front pole with the arrow mark on the rear pole. Push them together firmly until they click into place. Tighten the sleeve in the marked direction to secure the connection.
2. Installing the Chain and Guide Bar
First, remove the chain cover by turning the locking knob counter-clockwise. Install the saw chain onto the guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct rotation direction as indicated by the symbol on the guide bar. Fit the chain onto the drive sprocket on the saw head. Replace the chain cover and tighten the locking knob clockwise.
3. Adjusting Chain Tension
After installing the chain, check its tension by pulling it away from the guide bar. The chain should snap back into place. If it sags or is too tight, adjust the tension by turning the sleeve on the saw head. The chain should be snug but still able to move freely around the guide bar.
4. Adding Chain Oil
Unscrew the oiler cap located on the saw head. Fill the reservoir with appropriate chain and bar oil. The pole saw is equipped with an automatic lubrication system, which will ensure the chain is continuously oiled during operation. Replace the oiler cap securely.
5. Inserting the Battery
Press the battery release button on the rear pole assembly to open the battery compartment. Insert the fully charged 2.5Ah U-Battery Plus into the slot until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the battery is properly seated before operation.
6. Attaching the Shoulder Strap
Attach the shoulder strap to the designated attachment point on the pole. Adjust the strap length for comfortable and balanced operation, distributing the tool's weight to reduce fatigue.

Operating Instructions
1. Starting the Tool
To start the pole saw, simultaneously press the safety lock-off button and squeeze the trigger switch. Release the lock-off button once the saw starts. To stop, release the trigger switch.
2. General Cutting Techniques
Always maintain a firm grip on the pole saw with both hands. Position yourself securely and ensure the cutting area is clear. Begin cutting with the bottom of the guide bar, allowing the chain to do the work. Avoid forcing the saw. For larger branches, make a relief cut on the underside first to prevent pinching.

3. Using the Extension Pole
The pole saw features an extendable pole, allowing you to reach branches up to 11.5 feet high (or 17.5 feet with user reach). To extend, loosen the sleeve, pull the pole to the desired length, and then tighten the sleeve securely. Always ensure the extension is locked before use.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your pole saw.
1. Chain Lubrication
The automatic oiling system keeps the chain lubricated during operation. Regularly check the oil level in the reservoir and refill as needed with quality chain and bar oil. Proper lubrication is crucial for chain life and cutting performance.

Figure 4: The automatic oiling system ensures continuous chain lubrication.
2. Chain Tension Adjustment
Check chain tension before each use. A properly tensioned chain should be snug against the guide bar but still allow you to pull it freely by hand. Adjust using the tool-free tensioning system as described in the setup section.

3. Cleaning and Storage
After each use, clean the saw head, guide bar, and chain to remove sawdust and debris. Use a brush and mild detergent if necessary. Ensure all parts are dry before storage. Store the pole saw in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children, with the bar and chain sheath in place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Saw does not start | Battery not inserted correctly or discharged; Safety lock-off button not pressed; Faulty switch. | Ensure battery is fully charged and properly seated. Press safety lock-off button simultaneously with trigger. Contact customer support if switch is faulty. |
| Chain not cutting efficiently | Dull chain; Incorrect chain tension; Insufficient lubrication. | Sharpen or replace chain. Adjust chain tension. Refill chain oil reservoir. |
| Chain comes off guide bar | Loose chain tension; Worn guide bar or chain. | Adjust chain tension. Inspect guide bar and chain for wear and replace if necessary. |
| Motor runs but chain does not move | Chain jammed; Drive sprocket issue. | Clear any debris jamming the chain. Inspect drive sprocket for damage. |
