6.1. Making Espresso
- Preheat: Turn on the machine and allow it to preheat until the indicator lights are solid. Place your cup on the cup warmer.
- Prepare Coffee: Grind fresh coffee beans to a fine consistency. Place the desired filter basket (single or double) into the portafilter. Fill the basket with ground coffee and tamp it firmly and evenly using the included tamper.
- Attach Portafilter: Align the portafilter with the group head on the machine and twist it firmly to the right until it is securely locked.
- Brew: Place your preheated cup(s) under the portafilter spouts. Press the single cup or double cup button. The machine will automatically dispense the correct amount of espresso.
- Monitor Pressure: Observe the built-in pressure gauge during extraction. The ideal pressure range is typically indicated on the gauge for optimal flavor.

6.2. Frothing Milk
- Prepare Steam: After brewing espresso, press the steam button to preheat the steam function. Wait until the steam indicator light is solid.
- Purge Wand: Place an empty cup under the steam wand. Turn the steam knob briefly to release any condensed water, then close it.
- Froth Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout. Immerse the steam wand tip just below the surface of the milk. Turn the steam knob to the open position.
- Technique: Keep the wand tip near the surface to create foam, then lower it slightly to heat the milk. Continue until the desired temperature and texture are achieved. Turn off the steam knob before removing the pitcher.
- Clean Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying. Purge the wand again briefly to clear any internal milk.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your espresso machine.
7.1. Daily Cleaning
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard the coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under hot water.
- Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth. Purge the wand briefly to clear any milk residue from inside.
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray daily or when the water level indicator shows it is full.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
7.2. Water Tank
Clean the removable water tank regularly with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Ensure it is completely dry before refilling.
