Setup
1. Battery Installation
The Zuru Robo Alive Turtle requires batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the turtle. Use a small screwdriver to open the compartment, insert the required batteries (type and quantity typically specified on packaging or in a small included leaflet), and securely close the compartment. Ensure the seal is tight to prevent water ingress.

2. Initial Activation
The Robo Alive Turtle is water-activated. Once batteries are installed, simply place the turtle into water. The sensors on the turtle will detect the water and automatically begin its swimming and walking movements.
Operating Instructions
The Zuru Robo Alive Turtle is designed for simple, automatic operation in water. No remote control or manual buttons are typically required for its primary functions once activated by water.
1. Water Activation
Place the turtle gently into a bath, pool, or water table. The turtle will immediately begin to swim and move its flippers, mimicking a real turtle's movements. It can swim in various directions and may occasionally stop and restart.

2. Land Movement
While primarily a water toy, the Robo Alive Turtle can also exhibit walking movements on dry surfaces. Simply place it on a flat, dry surface, and it may move its flippers as if walking.
Maintenance
1. After Use
After each use, remove the turtle from the water. It is recommended to gently shake the turtle to remove any excess water from inside the toy, especially from the battery compartment area, to prolong its lifespan and prevent corrosion.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the turtle with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the toy is completely dry before storing.
3. Storage
Store the turtle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If the toy will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
- Turtle does not move in water: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed. Verify that the water sensors on the underside are clean and making proper contact with the water.
- Movement is erratic or slow: Replace the batteries with new ones. Ensure there is no debris obstructing the flippers.
- Water inside battery compartment: Immediately remove batteries and allow the compartment to air dry completely before reinserting batteries or using the toy again. Ensure the compartment is sealed properly during future use.
