The Generic Action Camera is designed for capturing high-quality video and photos in various environments, including outdoor activities and underwater use. It features 4K video recording, a 270° rotatable lens, a 1.3-inch HD screen, and Wi-Fi connectivity for easy sharing.

Setup
1. Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the camera's internal Li-Ion battery using the provided charging cable. Connect the cable to the camera's USB port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status.
2. Inserting a Memory Card
The camera supports memory cards up to 64GB. Insert a compatible memory card (SDHC or SmartMedia, not included) into the designated slot on the camera. Ensure the card is inserted correctly with the contacts facing the right direction. Formatting the card in the camera is recommended for optimal performance.
3. Attaching Accessories
- Waterproof Shell: For underwater use or protection against water and dust, place the camera inside the waterproof shell. Ensure the shell is properly sealed before submerging.
- Microphone: Connect the external microphone to the camera's microphone port for enhanced audio recording.
- Clip/Adapter/Binding Tape/Anti-Drop Rope: Use these accessories to mount the camera securely to various surfaces or for added security during active use. The rotatable clip bracket allows for flexible positioning.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
To power on the camera, press and hold the Power button (usually marked with a power symbol) for a few seconds until the screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the screen turns off.
2. Basic Controls and Modes
Navigate through the camera's menus and modes using the physical buttons. The 1.3-inch screen will display current settings, recording status, and playback options. Refer to the on-screen icons for mode indicators (e.g., video recording, photo capture, playback).
- Video Mode: Select video mode to record footage. Press the Shutter/Record button to start and stop recording.
- Photo Mode: Select photo mode to capture still images. Press the Shutter/Record button to take a photo.
- Playback Mode: Access playback mode to review recorded videos and photos on the camera screen.
3. 270° Rotatable Lens
The camera features a 270° rotatable lens, allowing you to adjust the shooting angle without repositioning the entire camera. Gently rotate the lens assembly to achieve the desired perspective for your shots.

4. Wi-Fi Connection and App Usage
The camera can connect to your smartphone via Wi-Fi for remote control, live preview, and file transfer.
- Download the "XDV" application from your smartphone's app store.
- On the camera, press the designated Wi-Fi button or navigate to the Wi-Fi settings to enable Wi-Fi and display the SSID (network name).
- On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings, find the camera's SSID in the list of available networks, and connect to it.
- Open the XDV app. You should now be able to control the camera, view live footage, and download recorded content.

5. Underwater Operation (with Waterproof Case)
When using the camera with the waterproof case, ensure the case is properly sealed and free from any debris that could compromise the seal. The camera is rated for depths up to 30 meters with the case. Operate the camera using the external buttons on the waterproof case, which correspond to the camera's internal buttons.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera body and lens. For the waterproof case, rinse with fresh water after saltwater use and allow it to air dry. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the camera with a partially charged battery if not used for extended periods.
- Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the memory card if storing for a long time.
Troubleshooting
- Camera not powering on:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds.
- Wi-Fi connection issues:
- Confirm Wi-Fi is enabled on the camera and broadcasting its SSID.
- Ensure the XDV app is installed and updated on your smartphone.
- Try restarting both the camera and your smartphone.
- Poor image/video quality:
- Check if the lens is clean and free from smudges or dirt.
- Ensure adequate lighting for your shooting environment.
- Verify that the correct resolution settings are selected in the camera menu.
- Camera freezing or unresponsive:
- If the camera becomes unresponsive, try a soft reset by pressing and holding the Power button for an extended period (e.g., 10-15 seconds) until it powers off.
- If issues persist, remove and reinsert the memory card and battery (if accessible).
