2. Important Safety Warnings

• Pet Suitability: This cage is designed for dwarf hamsters and gerbils. It is not suitable for Syrian hamsters due to their larger size and specific habitat requirements.
• Wire Spacing: The cage features a narrow wire spacing of 0.9 cm (0.35 inches) to prevent small pets from escaping. Regularly inspect the cage for any damage that could compromise this spacing.
• Placement: Place the cage on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, drafts, and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is in a quiet area where your pet will not be disturbed by loud noises or sudden movements.

4. Setup and Assembly Instructions

2. Place the deep cage base (58 x 32 x 8.5 cm) on a stable surface.
3. Carefully align the wire cage top with the base. Ensure the clips or latches on the wire frame securely attach to the base.

4.2. Install Internal Accessories

4. Attach the platform (29 x 27 cm) to the designated area inside the cage using the provided clips or hooks.
5. Position the ramp (22 x 7 cm) to connect the cage floor to the platform. Ensure it is stable.
6. Place the pet hut (12 x 10 x 9 cm) on the platform or cage floor as desired, providing a cozy resting spot.
7. Install the exercise wheel (diameter 14 cm) in a suitable location within the cage, ensuring it spins freely without obstruction.

4.3. Assemble the Tunnel System

8. Connect the transparent tunnel components (diameter 5.5 cm) according to your desired configuration. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent your pet from escaping.
9. Attach the assembled tunnel system to the designated openings on the cage.

4.4. Install Food and Water Accessories

10. Place the food bowl (diameter 8 x 3.5 cm) on the cage floor or platform.
11. Attach the 125 ml water bottle to the exterior of the cage, ensuring the spout extends into the cage at an accessible height for your pet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Preparing the Habitat

• Fill the deep base with appropriate bedding material (e.g., paper-based bedding, aspen shavings) to a depth suitable for burrowing.
• Fill the food bowl with a balanced diet formulated for hamsters or gerbils.
• Fill the water bottle with fresh, clean water. Ensure the ball bearing in the spout is working correctly by tapping it to check for water release.

5.2. Introducing Your Pet

• Gently place your hamster or gerbil into the cage through the front door (14 x 14 cm) or by temporarily removing the top wire frame.
• Allow your pet time to explore its new environment without disturbance.

5.3. Daily Care

• Check and refill the food bowl daily.
• Change the water in the bottle daily to ensure freshness.
• Remove any soiled bedding or uneaten fresh food.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential for your pet's health and hygiene.

• Spot Cleaning: Perform daily spot cleaning to remove waste and soiled bedding.
• Weekly Deep Cleaning:
  1. Carefully remove your pet from the cage and place it in a secure temporary enclosure.

Pet attempting to escape:

Verify that all cage connections, including the wire frame to the base and tunnel segments, are securely fastened. Check for any gaps or damage to the wire mesh. The 0.9 cm wire spacing is designed to prevent escapes for suitable pets.

Water bottle leaking:

Ensure the water bottle is filled completely to create a vacuum. Tap the ball bearing to release any air bubbles. Check for cracks or damage to the bottle or spout. Ensure it is securely attached to the cage.
