5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Liquid Transfer Procedure

  1. Prepare Containers: Ensure both the source container (e.g., gas can, barrel) and the receiving container (e.g., vehicle tank, smaller container) are stable and on a level surface.
  2. Insert Suction Tube: Place the black inlet head (suction tube) of the pump into the source container, ensuring it reaches the liquid.
  3. Position Discharge Hose: Insert the discharge hose (with the auto-shutoff nozzle) into the receiving container. Ensure the nozzle is securely placed to prevent spills.
  4. Start Pumping: Locate the red ON/OFF switch on the pump handle. Flip the switch to the "ON" position to begin liquid transfer. The pump will automatically start drawing liquid.
  5. Monitor Transfer: Observe the liquid level in the receiving container. The pump is designed to transfer approximately 2.4 to 2.6 gallons per minute.
  6. Stop Pumping: Once the desired amount of liquid has been transferred or the receiving container is full, flip the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position.
  7. Remove Pump: Carefully remove the discharge hose from the receiving container, then remove the suction tube from the source container. Allow any residual liquid to drain.
