1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your PonPed Cyclone Assembly Filter and HEPA Filter. These filters are designed as replacement parts for Deerma VC20S, VC20, and VC21 handheld vacuum cleaners, ensuring optimal performance and filtration efficiency.
Package Contents:

2. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to correctly install the new filters into your Deerma VC20S, VC20, or VC21 handheld vacuum cleaner.
- Remove the old filter assembly: Disconnect the vacuum cleaner from its power source. Locate the dust cup and filter assembly on your Deerma vacuum. Carefully twist or unlatch the dust cup to remove it. Then, remove the existing cyclone assembly and HEPA filter.
- Separate the HEPA filter from the cyclone assembly (if necessary): The new HEPA filter may come pre-inserted into the cyclone assembly. If not, gently insert the new HEPA filter into the bottom of the cyclone tower. Ensure it sits flush and securely.
- Insert the new cyclone assembly: Place the new cyclone tower filter (with the HEPA filter inserted) into the dust cup. Ensure it aligns with the grooves or locking mechanisms inside the dust cup.
- Reattach the dust cup: Securely reattach the dust cup to the main body of the vacuum cleaner. Ensure it clicks into place or is twisted firmly to prevent air leaks.

The filters are designed for easy removal and replacement as part of normal maintenance.
3. Operation
Once the Cyclone Assembly Filter and HEPA Filter are correctly installed, they will function automatically as part of your Deerma VC20S, VC20, or VC21 handheld vacuum cleaner's filtration system. The cyclone tower separates larger debris, while the HEPA filter captures fine dust and allergens, ensuring clean exhaust air.
4. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and timely replacement of your filters are crucial for maintaining the vacuum cleaner's suction power and filtration efficiency.
Cleaning the HEPA Filter:
- Remove the HEPA filter: Detach the dust cup from the vacuum and carefully remove the cyclone assembly. Then, separate the HEPA filter from the cyclone tower.
- Wash the filter: Rinse the HEPA filter under cool, running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents or hot water, as this can damage the filter material.
- Dry thoroughly: Allow the HEPA filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it into the vacuum cleaner. Ensure it is absolutely dry to prevent mold growth and damage to the vacuum.

Cleaning the Cyclone Tower Filter:
- Remove debris: Tap the cyclone tower filter gently over a waste bin to dislodge accumulated dust and debris.
- Wipe clean: If necessary, wipe the cyclone tower with a damp cloth to remove any stubborn dirt. Ensure it is dry before reassembly.

Filter Replacement:
It is recommended to replace the HEPA filter every 3-6 months, depending on usage, to maintain optimal filtration and vacuum performance. The cyclone assembly filter typically lasts longer but should be replaced if it shows signs of damage or significant wear that cannot be cleaned.
5. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your vacuum cleaner after installing the new filters, consider the following:
- Reduced Suction Power:
- Ensure both the HEPA filter and cyclone assembly are clean and free of blockages.
- Check that the filters are installed correctly and the dust cup is securely attached, preventing air leaks.
- Verify that the HEPA filter is completely dry before reinstallation.
- Unusual Noises:
- Confirm that all filter components are properly seated and not loose within the dust cup.
- Dust Escaping:
- Ensure the HEPA filter is correctly inserted and not damaged.
- Check for any cracks or damage to the cyclone assembly or dust cup seals.
