4. Setup and Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the VoltSurge D04 unit.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the Type-C input port on the VoltSurge D04.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a 5V/2A or higher USB wall adapter (not included).
- The LED display will show the charging status. Charge until the battery indicator shows full.
- Initial charging may take several hours.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Jump Starting a Vehicle
Ensure the VoltSurge D04 is at least 50% charged before attempting to jump start a vehicle.
- Turn off your vehicle's ignition and all accessories (headlights, radio, etc.).
- Connect the smart jumper cables to the VoltSurge D04 unit. Ensure a secure connection.
- Attach the red (+) clamp to the positive terminal of your vehicle's battery.
- Attach the black (-) clamp to the negative terminal of your vehicle's battery or a solid, unpainted metal part of the engine block (ground).
- Once connected, the smart cable indicator light should turn green (or indicate readiness). If it shows red or beeps, check connections and battery voltage.
- Start your vehicle. If it doesn't start immediately, wait 30 seconds and try again. Do not crank for more than 3 seconds per attempt.
- Once the vehicle starts, immediately remove the black (-) clamp, then the red (+) clamp from the battery.
- Disconnect the smart jumper cables from the VoltSurge D04 unit.

5.2. Using the Air Compressor
The integrated air compressor can inflate tires and other items up to 150 PSI.
- Attach the detachable air hose to the air outlet port on the VoltSurge D04.
- Select the appropriate nozzle for the item you wish to inflate and attach it to the air hose.
- Connect the nozzle securely to the tire valve or inflatable item.
- Turn on the VoltSurge D04. The LED display will show the current pressure.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired pressure. The unit supports PSI, BAR, and KPA units.
- Press the 'OK' button to start inflation. The compressor will automatically stop once the preset pressure is reached.
- Disconnect the nozzle and air hose after inflation.

5.3. Using the Power Bank Function
The VoltSurge D04 can charge various electronic devices.
- Connect your device's charging cable to one of the USB output ports (USB-A or Type-C) on the VoltSurge D04.
- The unit will automatically begin charging your device.
- Monitor your device's charging status.
5.4. Using the LED Emergency Lights
The VoltSurge D04 features dual LED lights for various lighting needs.
- Press the light button once to turn on the small LED light for general illumination.
