2. Power Connection
Connect the power adapter to the scanner's DC IN port and plug it into a power outlet. Use the appropriate convertor for your region.
3. USB Connection
Connect the provided USB cable from the scanner's USBPC port to an available USB port on your computer (desktop or laptop). This connection is essential for data transfer and software communication.
4. Side Lights (Optional)
For enhanced illumination, especially for glossy documents, connect the two side lights to the designated ports on the scanner base. Position them to minimize glare.
5. Software Installation
Insert the provided CD into your computer's CD drive and follow the on-screen instructions to install the CZUR scanning software. If your computer does not have a CD drive, download the latest software version from the official CZUR website. Operating Instructions
1. Starting the Software
Launch the CZUR scanning software on your computer. Ensure the scanner is powered on and connected via USB. The software interface will display a real-time preview from the scanner's camera.
2. Placing Documents for Scanning
Place the document or book you wish to scan on the black work mat. For books, open them flat. The scanner's red laser lines will project onto the document, indicating the scanning area and assisting with page flattening.

3. Scanning Process
You can initiate a scan using several methods:
- Software Button: Click the scan button within the CZUR software interface.
- Hand Button: Press the physical hand button connected to the scanner.
- Foot Pedal: Press the foot pedal for hands-free scanning, ideal for books.
- Auto-Scan: Enable the auto-scan feature in the software, which automatically scans when a page turn is detected.
The ET24 Pro can scan two pages of a book in approximately 1.5 seconds. The 2.0-inch display on the scanner head provides a real-time preview of your scanning process.

4. Image Processing and OCR
After scanning, the software automatically processes the images, applying auto-flattening and deskewing algorithms. You can then use the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature, powered by ABBYY technology, to convert scanned JPG images into editable formats such as PDF, Excel, or Word. The OCR supports over 180 languages.

5. Lighting Adjustment
The ET24 Pro features a head light and two side lights. For standard documents, the head light is usually sufficient. For glossy papers, it is recommended to turn off the head light and use only the side lights to minimize reflection and glare.
6. HDMI Output (Document Camera Mode)
The ET24 Pro can function as a document camera. Connect an HDMI cable from the scanner's HDMI port to a display device (monitor, projector) for real-time presentation of documents. This ensures faster and stable data transmission for live viewing.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly clean the scanner's lens and body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surfaces. Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
2. Software Updates
Periodically check the official CZUR website for software updates. Keeping your software up-to-date ensures optimal performance, new features, and bug fixes.
3. Storage
When not in use, store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it covered to prevent dust accumulation.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Scanner not recognized by computer | Loose USB connection; Software not installed or outdated; Driver issue. | Ensure USB cable is securely connected. Reinstall or update the CZUR software/drivers. Try a different USB port. |
| Scanned images are blurry or unclear | Dirty lens; Insufficient lighting; Document not flat; Scanner moved during scan. | Clean the scanner lens. Adjust lighting (use side lights for glossy paper). Ensure document is flat on the mat. Avoid moving the scanner during operation. |
| OCR accuracy is low | Poor image quality; Unsupported font/language; Complex document layout. | Improve scan quality (lighting, focus). Ensure the correct OCR language is selected in the software. Scan simpler documents first. |
| Glare on scanned glossy documents | Head light reflection. | Turn off the head light and use only the side lights for glossy materials. |
