2. Important Safety Information

• Electrical Safety: Ensure the voltage matches your power supply. Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Steam Vent: WARNING: May cause burns or scalding. Do not touch the steam vent when in use. Do not block or cover the steam vent. Blocking the steam vent may cause deformation or malfunction.

4. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the inner pot, inner lid, and rice scoop with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
3. Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the steam vent.
4. Connect Power: Insert the power cord securely into the appliance and then into a suitable electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Basic Rice Cooking

1. Measure Rice: Use the provided rice scoop to measure the desired amount of rice.
2. Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
3. Add Water: Place the washed rice into the inner pot. Add water up to the corresponding water level marking inside the pot for your chosen rice type and quantity.
4. Place Inner Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the main unit. Close the outer lid securely.
5. Select Menu: Press the 'Menu' button to cycle through the available cooking options. The JPW-T100KV offers 13 menus: Plain/White, Premium, Quick, Express-Limited Cups, Cake, Multigrain, Brown, GABA Brown, Slow Cook, Porridge, Mixed/Sweet, Long-grain.
6. Start Cooking: Press the 'Start' button. The cooking indicator will light up, and the cooking process will begin.
7. Completion: Once cooking is complete, the appliance will typically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode automatically.

Timer Function (2 Memories)

The rice cooker features a cooking reservation timer with two memory settings, allowing you to set a desired completion time for your rice.

1. Prepare rice and water in the inner pot as usual.
2. Select your desired cooking menu.
3. Press the 'Timer' button. Use the 'Hour' and 'Min' buttons to set the desired completion time.
4. Press 'Start'. The timer indicator will light up, and the rice cooker will automatically start cooking to finish at the set time.

Keep Warm Function

The 'Keep Warm' function automatically activates after cooking is complete, maintaining the rice at an optimal serving temperature for up to 12 hours. The warmth retention time elapsed display will show how long the rice has been kept warm.

• To manually activate 'Keep Warm', press the 'Keep Warm' button.
• To cancel 'Keep Warm' or any other function, press the 'Cancel' button.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.

1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the rice cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Inner Pot: Wash the non-stick inner pot with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers, as this can damage the non-stick coating.
3. Inner Lid: The inner lid is removable for easy cleaning. Wash it with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Pay attention to the dimple design to ensure no rice particles remain.
4. Steam Vent: Clean the steam vent regularly to prevent blockages. The 'Care grain frame' feature assists in easy cleaning of this area.
5. Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
