1. Product Overview

The Umelome SP1068 Spin Dryer is a compact and efficient appliance designed to quickly remove excess water from washed laundry, significantly reducing drying time. 2. Safety Instructions

Please read all safety instructions carefully before operating the appliance to prevent injury or damage.

• Always ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent tipping during operation.
• Do not operate the spin dryer without the lid securely closed.
• Keep hands and foreign objects out of the drum while the machine is operating.
• Unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
• This appliance is equipped with a safety switch and child lock. Do not attempt to bypass these features.
• The 5-minute timer function automatically stops the dryer to prevent unsupervised long cycles.
• Do not overload the drum. The maximum capacity for wet laundry is 6 kg.
• Ensure proper drainage of water. Do not allow water to accumulate around the base of the unit.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the spin dryer and all accessories from the packaging. Check for any signs of damage. The package should include the spin dryer unit, a 1.5L drainage bowl, and a spin disc.

3.2 Removing the Protective Lock

Before first use, it is crucial to remove the protective lock located at the bottom of the unit. Failure to do so will prevent the machine from operating correctly.

1. Gently tilt the spin dryer to access its underside.
2. Locate the protective lock mechanism.
3. Twist and pull the protective lock to remove it. Keep this part for future transport if needed.

3.3 Placement

Place the spin dryer on a firm, level, and stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and access. The unit is portable and can be used in various locations such as apartments, dormitories, RVs, and dedicated washing areas.

3.4 Power Connection

Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the appliance's requirements.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Loading Laundry

The spin dryer features a 6 kg capacity stainless steel drum. For optimal performance and to prevent damage, do not exceed the maximum load capacity for wet laundry. Examples of load capacity include approximately 15 T-shirts, 7 pairs of jeans, 4 jackets, or 2 bedding sets.

4.2 Spin Cycle Operation

1. Ensure the protective lock has been removed (refer to Section 3.2).
2. Place the washed, wet clothes evenly into the stainless steel drum. Distribute the load to ensure balance and prevent excessive vibration.
3. Place the provided spin disc on top of the clothes inside the drum.
4. Close the lid securely. The machine will not operate if the lid is not properly closed due to the safety switch.
5. Turn on the spin switch. The powerful 2800 RPM motor will begin to spin, creating centrifugal force to remove water.
6. The spin cycle typically takes 2-3 minutes to achieve up to 95% drainage. The machine is equipped with a 5-minute timer and will automatically stop after this duration.
7. Position the 1.5L drainage bowl under the drainage spout to collect the expelled water.
8. Once the cycle is complete and the drum has stopped spinning, open the lid and remove the clothes. The clothes will be almost dry, significantly reducing subsequent drying time.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Drum and Exterior

To maintain the performance and longevity of your spin dryer, regular cleaning is recommended.

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Wipe the stainless steel drum and the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surfaces.
• Ensure the drainage spout and bowl are clean and free of lint or debris.

5.2 Storage

When not in use, store the spin dryer in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If transporting the unit, consider re-inserting the protective lock removed during initial setup.
