Introduction

Setup

1. Connecting the DVR System

Follow these steps to connect your DVR system to a monitor, network, and cameras:

Connect Power: Plug the 12V DC power supply into the DVR's power input.
Connect Mouse: Insert the USB mouse into one of the DVR's USB ports.
Connect Monitor: Use an HDMI or VGA cable to connect the DVR to your display monitor.
Network Connection: Connect the DVR's LAN port to your router using an Ethernet cable for remote access features.
Camera Connection: Connect your cameras to the DVR's video input ports. For PoE cameras, connect them to a PoE switch, and then connect the PoE switch to the DVR's network port or directly to the router.

2. Initial System Configuration

After connecting all devices, power on the DVR. The system will boot up and display a setup wizard or live view. Use the connected mouse to navigate the interface.

Channel Mode Selection: Right-click the mouse to access the main menu. Navigate to 'Channel Mode' or 'Camera Type' settings. Here, you can select the appropriate video input type (AHD, TVI, CVI, CVBS, IP) for each channel to match your connected cameras.
Add IP Cameras: If using IP cameras, go to the 'Camera' or 'Video Manage' section, click 'Search' to detect available IP cameras on your network, and then 'Add One' to integrate them into the DVR system.

Operating Instructions

1. Video Compression (H.265+)

The DVR utilizes advanced H.265+ video compression technology. This ensures much smoother video recordings and significantly saves HDD space compared to older compression standards, allowing for longer recording times.

2. Recording and Playback

The system supports 24/7 continuous recording. You can easily record and playback video on your mobile devices or directly from the DVR interface. Use the playback function to review recorded footage by date and time.

3. Face Detection & Instant Alerts

Maintenance

Hard Drive Installation

This DVR model does not include a pre-installed Hard Disk Drive (HDD). You will need to install a compatible 3.5-inch SATA HDD for video storage. Ensure the DVR is powered off before attempting installation.

Troubleshooting

Recording Problems: Verify that a hard drive is installed and formatted. Check the recording schedule in the DVR settings. Ensure there is sufficient free space on the HDD.
