4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before installation, fully charge each camera using the provided USB cable and a standard 5V/2A USB power adapter (not included). The indicator light on the camera will turn solid blue when fully charged.

4.2 Home Base Connection

  1. Connect the Home Base to your router using the provided Ethernet cable.
  2. Connect the Home Base to a power outlet using the provided power adapter.
  3. Wait for the status indicator light on the Home Base to turn solid blue, indicating it is ready for pairing.

4.3 App Installation and Account Creation

  1. Download the "AOSU Security" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account.

4.4 Pairing Cameras

  1. In the AOSU Security app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
  2. Select your camera model from the list.
  3. Press and hold the Sync button on the Home Base until the indicator light flashes blue.
  4. Bring the camera close to the Home Base (within 1-3 feet).
  5. Press the Sync button on the camera (usually located under a rubber flap) until you hear a chime or see an indicator light flash.
  6. Follow the app's instructions to complete the pairing process for each camera.

4.5 Camera and Solar Panel Installation

Choose an installation location that provides optimal sunlight exposure for the solar panel and a clear view for the camera. Ensure the camera is within range of the Home Base's Wi-Fi signal.

  1. Mounting Location: Select a sturdy surface for mounting the camera and solar panel. The solar panel should receive at least 2-3 hours of direct sunlight daily for continuous charging.

Camera not connecting to Home Base:
  • Ensure the Home Base is powered on and connected to your router, with its indicator light solid blue.
  • Bring the camera closer to the Home Base during the pairing process.
  • Reset both the camera and Home Base and attempt pairing again.
  • Verify your router supports 2.4G or 5G Wi-Fi and is configured correctly.
Poor image quality:
  • Clean the camera lens.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera's field of view.
  • Check the camera's position relative to light sources that might cause glare.
Solar panel not charging:
