Setup
1. Charging the Battery
- Open the sealed compartment on the side of the camera (refer to Figure 4).
- Connect the included USB cable to the camera's USB port and the other end to a USB power adapter or computer.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. Once fully charged, the light will change or turn off.
- Ensure the compartment is securely closed after charging to maintain waterproofing.
2. Inserting a Micro SD Card
A Micro SD card (not included) is required to store photos and videos. The camera supports cards with a UHS Speed Class of U3 or higher for optimal 4K recording.
- Open the sealed compartment on the side of the camera.
- Carefully insert the Micro SD card into the designated slot until it clicks into place.
- Close the compartment securely, ensuring a tight seal.
Operating the Camera
Power On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the Power button (usually located near the LCD screen) for a few seconds.
- To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the screen turns off.
Taking Photos
- Ensure the camera is in Photo Mode (indicated on the LCD screen). Use the Mode button to switch if necessary.
- Frame your shot using the 2.4-inch LCD preview screen.
- Press the red Shutter button (on the orange side) to capture an 18MP still image.
Recording Videos
- Switch to Video Mode using the Mode button.
- Press the red Shutter button to start recording 4K UHD video. A recording indicator will appear on the screen.
- Press the Shutter button again to stop recording.
Playback and Review
- Enter Playback Mode (usually via a dedicated button or menu option).
- Use the navigation buttons to scroll through your captured photos and videos.
- Press the Shutter button or OK button to view a photo or play a video.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
The camera features Wi-Fi for transferring files to a compatible device.
- Activate Wi-Fi in the camera's settings menu.
- On your smartphone or tablet, connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password will be displayed on the camera screen).
- Use the dedicated Polaroid app (if available) or a file transfer application to access and download your media.
Underwater Use Guidelines
To ensure the camera remains waterproof and functions correctly underwater:
- Before Submersion: Double-check that the battery/memory card compartment cover is completely closed and latched. Inspect the rubber seals for any debris or damage.
- Depth Limit: Do not exceed the specified waterproof depth of 10 feet (3 meters).
- Temperature: Avoid sudden temperature changes that could cause condensation inside the camera.
- After Use: Rinse the camera thoroughly with fresh water after each use in saltwater or chlorinated water. Do not open the compartment until the camera is dry.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- After each use, especially in saltwater, rinse the camera with fresh water and wipe it dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Clean the lens gently with a lens cleaning cloth. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Ensure the battery/memory card compartment is clean and free of sand or debris before closing.
Storage
- Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
