Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the device.

  5. Charge the batteries fully before first use using the provided charger and cable.

2. Mounting the Scope

The RATTLERV2 25-256 is designed for mounting on a Picatinny rail. Ensure the mount is securely attached to your rifle's rail.

  1. Align the scope's mounting base with the Picatinny rail on your firearm.
  2. Secure the mounting clamps by tightening the screws or levers until the scope is firmly in place and does not wobble.

3. Initial Power On and Diopter Adjustment

  1. Press and hold the power button (usually located on top of the device) until the display illuminates.
  2. Adjust the diopter ring on the eyepiece until the on-screen display (OSD) text and icons appear sharp and clear to your eye. This is crucial for optimal viewing.
  3. Adjust the objective lens focus ring to bring distant objects into sharp focus.

1. Basic Controls

Color Palettes:

The RATTLERV2 offers four distinct color palettes to enhance target recognition and reduce eye fatigue.

  • Black Hot: Hot objects appear black.
  • White Hot: Hot objects appear white.
  • Red Hot: Hot objects are highlighted in shades of red.
  • Fusion: Displays a spectrum of colors based on temperature differences.

Press the Palette Button to cycle through these options.

Brightness and Contrast:

These settings can be adjusted via the main menu to optimize image quality based on ambient conditions and personal preference.

4. Digital Zoom

The device supports digital zoom up to 8x, providing a total magnification range of 3.5x to 28x. Press the Zoom Button to cycle through available zoom levels (e.g., 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x).

5. Reticle Settings

The RATTLERV2 offers 10 different reticle types and 4 color options to suit various aiming preferences. These settings can be configured within the device's menu.

7. Wi-Fi Connectivity and AGM Connect App

The integrated Wi-Fi hotspot allows connection to the AGM Connect App on your smartphone or tablet.

  1. Download the "AGM Connect" app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Enable Wi-Fi on your RATTLERV2 via the device's menu.
  3. Connect your smartphone to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the device (SSID and password typically found in the device menu or manual).
  4. Open the AGM Connect App. The app provides features such as live video streaming, remote control of device functions, photo and video management, and firmware updates.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Lenses: Use the provided lens cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optics. Gently wipe the lens surfaces. For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of lens cleaning solution applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
  • Body: Wipe the device body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure all caps and covers are in place when not in use to protect lenses and ports.

2. Storage

  • Store the device in its protective carrying case when not in use.
  • Keep the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
