Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off and Mode Selection
- Press the power button on the handle to turn the vacuum cleaner on or off.
- The HF2 offers three cleaning modes:
- Standard Mode: For everyday cleaning tasks.
- Turbo Mode: Provides maximum suction for stubborn dirt and debris. Note that this mode reduces battery runtime.
- ECO Mode: Extends battery life for lighter cleaning tasks, offering longer runtime.
- Toggle between modes using the mode selection button on the handle.
Using Attachments
- Motorized Floor Nozzle: Ideal for hard floors. The integrated LED lights illuminate dust and debris, making it easier to clean in dimly lit areas. The soft surface brush is designed to glide smoothly without scratching sensitive floors.
- Mini Motorized Pet Nozzle: Attach directly to the main unit for effective removal of pet hair and dirt from upholstery, stairs, and car interiors. It also features LED lights for improved visibility.

Maintenance
Emptying the Dust Bin
The Hoover HF2 features Ultra Compact X3 technology, which compresses dust to maximize capacity up to 1 liter. For optimal performance, empty the dust bin regularly, ideally after each use.
- Ensure the vacuum is turned off and disconnected from the charger.
- Locate the dust bin release button, usually near the main unit.
- Press the button to detach the dust bin.
- Hold the dust bin over a trash receptacle and open the bottom flap to release the compacted dirt and debris.
- Close the flap and reattach the dust bin to the main unit until it clicks securely.
Cleaning the Filter
Regularly clean the fabric filter to maintain suction power. The frequency depends on usage, but generally, clean it monthly or when you notice a decrease in suction.
- Remove the dust bin as described above.
- Carefully remove the filter assembly from the dust bin.
- Tap the filter gently over a trash can to remove loose dust.
- If necessary, rinse the filter under cold running water. Ensure it is completely dry before reassembling. Do not use detergents or hot water.
- Once dry, reinsert the filter into the dust bin and reattach the bin to the vacuum.
Cleaning the Brush Roll
The anti-twist technology helps prevent hair tangles, but occasional cleaning of the brush roll may still be necessary.
- Turn off the vacuum and detach the motorized floor nozzle.
- Locate the brush roll access cover on the bottom of the nozzle.
- Open the cover (refer to diagrams in the full manual if unsure).
- Remove the brush roll and carefully cut away any tangled hair or fibers using scissors.
- Clean any debris from the brush roll housing.
- Reinsert the brush roll and secure the access cover.
