5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Choosing a Location

Select an outdoor location where the solar panel can receive at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Avoid areas under eaves, trees, or other obstructions that may block sunlight, as this will affect charging efficiency and light duration.

5.2 Assembly and Mounting

The Nekteck Solar Spotlights offer two installation methods:

In-Ground Installation:

  1. Attach the ground stake to the main body of the spotlight. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Push the assembled spotlight firmly into the ground in your desired location.

Wall Mounting:

  1. Mark the desired drilling points on the wall using the spotlight's mounting bracket as a guide.
  2. Drill holes and insert the provided wall anchors.
  3. Align the spotlight's mounting bracket with the holes and secure it with the provided screws.

5.3 Initial Charge

Before first use, ensure the spotlight is placed in direct sunlight for at least 8 hours to allow the internal battery to fully charge. The light will automatically turn on at dusk once charged.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

Locate the power button/mode switch on the back of the light unit. Press the button to cycle through the operating modes:

  • First Press: Low Brightness Mode (indicated by 1 light on the switch, provides up to 10 hours of illumination).
  • Second Press: High Brightness Mode (indicated by 2 lights on the switch, provides up to 6 hours of illumination).
  • Third Press: Power Off.

The spotlight features a dusk-to-dawn sensor, meaning it will automatically turn on at night in the selected brightness mode and turn off at dawn to recharge.

7. Maintenance

  • Clean Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
  • Check for Obstructions: Periodically check that no new obstructions (e.g., growing foliage) are blocking sunlight from reaching the solar panel.
