Setup and First Use
1. Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove the espresso machine from its packaging. Place the machine on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate space around the machine for ventilation and access to components.

2. Dimensions and Space Requirements
The machine measures approximately 16.5 inches (D) x 9.75 inches (W) x 14.88 inches (H). Ensure your chosen location accommodates these dimensions, especially for cup clearance and water tank access.

3. Filling the Water Tank
Remove the water tank, located at the back of the machine. Fill it with fresh, cold water up to the MAX mark. Insert the Mavea® Water Filter as per its instructions, then reinsert the tank securely into the machine.
4. Filling the Bean Container
Open the lid of the bean container on top of the machine. Pour your preferred pure, roasted coffee beans into the container. The container has a capacity for approximately 8.8 oz of beans.

5. Initial Rinse Cycle
After plugging in the machine, it will automatically perform an initial rinse cycle. Place a cup under the coffee spout to collect the water. This prepares the system for brewing.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the power button on the control panel to turn the machine on or off. The machine will perform an automatic rinse cycle upon startup and before shutdown.
2. Selecting a Beverage
The Easy Select LCD Panel features illuminated sensor keys for various beverage options. Choose from Espresso, Coffee, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, or Milk.

3. Adjusting Coffee Strength
Press the coffee bean icon/button on the control panel to cycle through 6 different strength levels. Select your desired intensity before brewing.

4. Using the Milk Express In-Cup Frother
For milk-based beverages, slide the stainless steel frothing nozzle directly into your cup containing milk or a milk alternative. Select your desired milk-based drink. The machine will froth the milk to your preferred temperature (adjustable via settings) and then brew the coffee.

5. Double Cup Function
To prepare two cups of coffee or espresso simultaneously, or to double the size of a single drink, activate the Double Cup function on the control panel.

6. Cup Warmer
The integrated cup warmer on top of the machine helps maintain the temperature of your cups, ensuring your coffee stays hot longer.

Maintenance and Cleaning
1. Daily Cleaning
Regularly empty and clean the drip tray and coffee grounds container. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
2. Cleaning the Brewing Unit
The brewing unit is accessible from the front service door. Remove it and rinse thoroughly under running water. Allow it to air dry before reinserting.

3. Cleaning the Milk Frother
The Milk Express in-cup frother is dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning. Remove it after each use and place it in the dishwasher or wash by hand with warm, soapy water.

4. Descaling (Calc'n Clean)
The machine features a Calc'n Clean function that guides you through the descaling process. Follow the on-screen prompts when the machine indicates descaling is required. Use the provided descaling tablet.
5. Water Filter Replacement
Replace the Mavea® Water Filter regularly as indicated by the machine or every two months, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal water quality and machine performance.
Troubleshooting
