Setup
1. Initial Winding
Your Pagani Design PD-1758 watch is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement. It is powered by the motion of your wrist. For initial use or after the watch has stopped, it is recommended to manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times while it is in the normal operating position (pushed in). This provides sufficient power reserve to start the movement.
2. Setting the Time and Date
- Unscrew the Crown: The crown is a screw-down type for water resistance. Rotate the crown counter-clockwise until it is free from the case.
- Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the first click position. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the date change mechanism. If the current time falls within this period, adjust the time outside this range first, then set the date, and finally reset the time.
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the second click position. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accurate time setting, synchronize with a reliable time source. The seconds hand will stop in this position (hacking feature).
- Setting the GMT Hand: The GMT hand (24-hour hand) is independently adjustable. In the first click position (date setting position), rotating the crown in the opposite direction of date adjustment will move the GMT hand. Set the GMT hand to your desired second time zone.
- Secure the Crown: Once all settings are complete, push the crown back into the normal operating position and screw it down tightly clockwise to ensure water resistance.

Operating the Watch
Automatic Movement
Your watch is powered by an automatic movement, which means it winds itself with the natural motion of your arm. For optimal performance, wear the watch for at least 6-8 hours daily. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop. In this case, manually wind it as described in the 'Initial Winding' section.
GMT Function
The GMT function allows you to track a second time zone. The 24-hour hand, in conjunction with the 24-hour markings on the bezel, indicates the time in the second zone. The rotating bezel can also be used to track a third time zone by aligning it appropriately with the GMT hand.
Luminous Display
The hands and hour markers of your watch feature a luminous material for visibility in low-light conditions. To activate the luminescence, expose the watch to a bright light source (natural or artificial) for a few minutes. The glow intensity and duration will depend on the exposure time and light source strength.

Maintenance
Water Resistance (100M)
Your watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM). This makes it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and showering. However, it is crucial to ensure the crown is always screwed down tightly before any contact with water. Avoid operating the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged. Do not expose the watch to hot water or steam (e.g., hot showers, saunas), as this can compromise the seals.
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch, clean the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For stainless steel bracelets, a soft brush with mild soap and water can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Avoiding Shocks and Magnetic Fields
While durable, mechanical watches are sensitive to strong impacts. Avoid dropping your watch or subjecting it to severe shocks. Strong magnetic fields (e.g., from speakers, refrigerators, or certain electronic devices) can affect the accuracy of the mechanical movement. Keep your watch away from such sources.
Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, consider a watch winder to keep the automatic movement running and lubricated.
Troubleshooting
- Watch is not running or stops frequently:
- This is typically due to insufficient power reserve. Ensure the watch is worn for at least 6-8 hours daily. If it has stopped, manually wind it by rotating the crown clockwise 20-30 times before wearing.
- Time is inaccurate:
- Minor variations in accuracy are normal for mechanical watches. However, significant inaccuracy might be caused by exposure to strong magnetic fields. If you suspect magnetization, a watchmaker can demagnetize it. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in and screwed down after setting the time.
- Date does not change at midnight:
- Check if the AM/PM setting is correct. The watch operates on a 24-hour cycle. If the date changes at noon, you have set the time 12 hours incorrectly. Advance the time by 12 hours.
