Setup & Installation
This section provides instructions for installing your BN-LINK Countdown Timer Switch. Ensure power is OFF before proceeding.

Installation Steps:
- Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the switch you are replacing and turn it OFF. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove the existing wall plate and unscrew the old switch from the wall box. Disconnect the wires from the old switch, noting which wire was connected to which terminal.
- Identify Wires: Identify the following wires in your wall box:
- Hot Wire (Line): Typically black, brings power from the circuit breaker.
- Load Wire: Typically black, sends power to the light/fan.
- Neutral Wire: Typically white. A neutral wire is REQUIRED for this switch.
- Ground Wire: Typically green or bare copper.
- Wire the New Switch: Connect the wires from your wall box to the BN-LINK timer switch using the provided wire nuts. Refer to the wiring diagram below.
- Connect the Black Wire from the timer switch to the Hot Wire (Line) from the wall box.
- Connect the Red Wire from the timer switch to the Load Wire from the wall box.
- Connect the White Wire from the timer switch to the Neutral Wire from the wall box.
- Connect the Green Wire from the timer switch to the Ground Wire from the wall box.
- Secure the Switch: Carefully fold the wires and push the timer switch into the wall box. Secure it with the mounting screws.
- Install Wall Plate: Attach the provided wall plate over the switch.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker.
- Test Operation: Test the timer switch to ensure it functions correctly.

Button Functions:
- Power Button (Top): This is the main ON/OFF button.
- Press once to turn the connected device (light/fan) ON indefinitely.
- Press again to turn the connected device OFF.
- This button can also override any active countdown timer, turning the device OFF immediately.
- Countdown Timer Buttons (1 Min, 5 Min, 10 Min, 20 Min, 30 Min, 1 Hour): These buttons activate a preset countdown.
- Press any of these buttons to turn the connected device ON for the selected duration.
- The device will automatically turn OFF once the countdown expires.
- An LED indicator next to the selected time will illuminate to show the active countdown.
Example Usage:
To turn on your bathroom fan for 10 minutes, simply press the "10 Min" button. The fan will run for 10 minutes and then automatically shut off. If you need to turn it off sooner, press the top Power button.
