5. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your truck bed is clean and free of debris. Confirm your truck bed length is 5.5ft (66.7 inches) from the bulkhead to the tailgate. Some truck models with bedliners may require drilling holes for latch holders.

5.1. Pre-Installation Steps

1. Measure Truck Bed: Accurately measure your truck bed length from the bulkhead (front of the bed) to the tailgate to confirm compatibility.
2. Apply Weather Stripping: If your truck bed does not have adequate sealing at the bulkhead, apply the provided weather stripping along the front bulkhead of the truck bed to prevent water intrusion. Trim any excess.

5.2. Installing the Tonneau Cover

1. Position the Cover: Carefully place the folded tonneau cover assembly onto the front of your truck bed, ensuring it is centered and aligned with the bed rails.
2. Slide into Side Rails: Slide the cover assembly into the side rails. Ensure the front panel is flush against the bulkhead.
3. Adjust Side Rails: Adjust the side rails into the correct position along the truck bed.
4. Attach Clamps: Secure the cover to the truck bed rails using the provided clamps. Place and attach the clamps along the side rails. Do not fasten them too tightly until the cover can close properly. Typically, there are 3 clamps per side.
5. Tighten Clamps: Once the cover is properly aligned and can close smoothly, fully tighten all clamps to ensure a secure fit.

6. Operating Instructions

The quad-fold design allows for flexible access to your truck bed.

6.1. Opening the Cover

1. Release Rear Latches: From the tailgate, locate and release the rear latches on both sides of the cover.
2. Fold Panels: Lift the rear panel and fold it forward. Continue folding each subsequent panel towards the cab of the truck.
3. Secure Folded Cover: Once fully folded, use the integrated straps and buckles to secure the cover in the open position near the cab. This prevents the cover from unfolding while driving.

6.2. Closing the Cover

1. Unbuckle Straps: Release the straps securing the folded cover.
2. Unfold Panels: Carefully unfold the panels one by one towards the tailgate.
3. Secure Rear Latches: Once the final panel is laid flat, press down firmly to engage the rear latches on both sides, ensuring the cover is securely closed.
