Setup Instructions

1. Assembly

The fishkeeper submersible aquarium filter is designed for easy assembly and disassembly. Follow these steps to assemble the filter:

  1. Ensure all filter media (filter sponges, activated carbon) are correctly placed within the filter box sections.
  2. Connect the impeller cover to the filter box.
  3. Insert the impeller into the pump body.
  4. Attach the pump body to the assembled filter box.
  5. If desired, connect the adjustable air regulator and oxygen tube to the designated port on the pump body.

2. Placement in Aquarium

Position the filter inside your aquarium. The filter is equipped with strong rubber suction cups for secure attachment to the tank wall. It is crucial to fully submerge the filter in water for proper operation.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On

Once the filter is fully assembled and submerged, plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The filter will immediately begin its operation.

2. Adjustable Air Flow

The internal aquarium filter includes an airflow control valve. You can adjust the air supply by rotating this valve. This allows for even distribution of oxygen throughout the entire aquarium, catering to the specific needs of your aquatic inhabitants.

The filter operates at a maximum flow rate of 186 GPH (700 L/H) and is designed for ultra-quiet operation, with noise levels below 30 decibels, ensuring a peaceful environment.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning and Filter Media Replacement

The filter media are easy to replace and clean. Regular maintenance is essential for optimal performance. The filter features a four-stage filtration system with high-precision filter media, including activated carbon in the middle layer for enhanced impurity and odor absorption.

  1. Unplug the filter from the power outlet.
  2. Carefully remove the filter from the aquarium.
  3. Disassemble each filter layer by twisting the sections apart.
  4. Take out the dirty filter sponges and activated carbon.
  5. Clean the sponges thoroughly under running water. Replace activated carbon as needed (typically every 2-4 weeks).
  6. Put the clean sponges and new activated carbon or other preferred filter materials back into their respective sections.
  7. Reassemble the filter by twisting the sections back together.
  8. Place the filter back into the aquarium, ensuring it is fully submerged, and plug it in.
