5. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
- Assembly: Attach the handle and any other loose components as indicated in the assembly diagram (if provided separately). Ensure all connections are secure.
- Filter Installation: Place the initial filter screen into the oil tank. Lay a filter paper sheet over the initial screen. Then, place the double-layer filter screen on top of the filter paper. Ensure they are seated correctly to prevent oil bypass.
- Positioning: Roll the unit to a suitable location near your deep fryer. Ensure the area is clear and well-ventilated. Lock the two braking casters to secure the unit.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a grounded 110V electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective oil filtration:
- Prepare the Fryer: Turn off the deep fryer and allow the oil to cool to a safe filtering temperature (typically between 250°F - 350°F / 120°C - 175°C). Hotter oil filters faster, but extreme temperatures are dangerous.
- Position the Filter: Roll the VEVOR oil filter unit close to the deep fryer. Ensure the unit is stable and the casters are locked.
- Drain Oil: Carefully drain the hot oil from the deep fryer into the VEVOR filter unit's tank. Ensure the oil flows through the installed filter layers. Do not overfill the tank.
- Connect Hose: Attach the oil return hose to the deep fryer's oil return port (if applicable) or position it to return filtered oil directly into the fryer.
- Start Filtration: Turn on the VEVOR oil filter unit. The pump will begin to draw oil from the tank, through the filtration system, and return it via the hose.
- Monitor Process: Observe the filtration process. Ensure there are no leaks and the oil is flowing smoothly. The filtration speed is approximately 10 L/min.
- Complete Filtration: Once all oil has been filtered and returned to the fryer, turn off the VEVOR unit.
- Disconnect and Store: Disconnect the power and carefully remove the hose. Clean the unit as described in the Maintenance section. Store the unit in a clean, dry place.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your VEVOR oil filter:
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, allow the unit to cool. Remove and discard the used filter paper. Clean the initial filter screen and double-layer filter screen with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembly.
- Tank Cleaning: Wipe down the interior and exterior of the stainless steel tank with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn oil residue, use a food-safe degreaser. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Hose Cleaning: Flush the oil transfer hose with warm, soapy water to remove any oil residue. Ensure it is completely dry before storage to prevent bacterial growth.
- Caster Inspection: Periodically check the casters for smooth operation and clean any debris that may hinder movement.
- Filter Paper Replacement: Always use new filter paper for each filtration cycle to maintain high filtration efficiency.
8. Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common issues and their solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not power on | No power supply; Power switch off; Circuit breaker tripped | Check power cord connection; Ensure switch is ON; Reset circuit breaker |
| Pump is running but no oil flow | Hose clogged; Filter media clogged; Oil too thick/cold; Pump malfunction | Check and clear hose; Replace filter paper; Allow oil to warm slightly; Contact support |
| Slow filtration speed | Clogged filter media; Oil too cold; Pump losing prime | Replace filter paper and clean screens; Ensure oil is at optimal temperature; Re-prime pump if necessary |
| Oil not clean after filtration | Damaged filter paper; Incorrect filter installation; Oil too dirty | Ensure filter paper is intact and correctly installed; Replace filter paper; Multiple filtration cycles may be needed for very dirty oil |
| Oil leaks from connections | Loose hose connections; Damaged seals/gaskets | Tighten all connections; Inspect and replace damaged seals/gaskets |
