Setup and Battery Installation

The thermometer requires one CR123A battery (included) for operation. Please follow these steps for battery installation:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the thermometer.
2. Use a small screwdriver or coin to open the battery compartment.
3. Insert the CR123A battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it firmly.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off:

• To turn on the thermometer, unfold the stainless steel probe. The display will illuminate.
• To turn off the thermometer, fold the probe back into its housing. The device will automatically power off.
• The thermometer also features an auto-off function to conserve battery life if left idle for a period.

2. Measuring Temperature:

1. Unfold the probe.
2. Insert the tip of the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the food item, avoiding bones or gristle.
3. Wait for approximately 5 seconds for the temperature reading to stabilize on the LCD screen.
4. Once the reading is stable, remove the probe from the food.

3. Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F):

Press the "°C/°F" button located on the front of the thermometer to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.

4. HOLD Function:

Press the "HOLD" button to freeze the current temperature reading on the display. This is useful when you need to remove the probe from the food to read the temperature more clearly. Press "HOLD" again to release the function and resume live temperature measurement.

Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: After each use, wipe the stainless steel probe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The thermometer is waterproof, allowing for easy cleaning. Do not immerse the entire unit in water.
• Storage: Fold the probe back into the thermometer body for safe storage. Store the thermometer in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures. The magnetic back allows for convenient storage on refrigerators or other metallic surfaces.
• Battery Replacement: If the display becomes dim or the thermometer does not power on, replace the CR123A battery following the instructions in the "Setup and Battery Installation" section.

Troubleshooting

• Display is blank or dim:
  • Check battery installation and ensure correct polarity.
  • Replace the CR123A battery with a new one.
• Inaccurate temperature readings:
  • Ensure the probe tip is inserted deeply enough into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bones or fat.
  • Allow sufficient time (approx. 5 seconds) for the reading to stabilize.
  • Verify the thermometer is clean and free of debris on the probe.
• Thermometer does not turn on/off automatically:
  • Ensure the probe is fully unfolded to turn on and fully folded to turn off.
  • If the issue persists, try replacing the battery.
