Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Wipe the stainless steel probe with a damp cloth or sponge after each use.
  • Clean the body of the thermometer with a soft, damp cloth.
  • DO NOT immerse the thermometer in water or place it in a dishwasher, as this can damage the electronic components.
  • Ensure the probe is clean and dry before folding it back into the unit.

Storage

Store the thermometer in a dry place when not in use. The foldable probe protects it from damage. The thermometer features a hanging hole for convenient storage on a hook and built-in magnets for attaching to metal surfaces like a refrigerator.

Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the thermometer stops functioning, it's time to replace the CR2032 battery. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the "Setup" section.

Troubleshooting

  • No Display / Dim Display:

Check the battery. Replace the CR2032 battery if it is low or depleted. Ensure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity (+ side up).

  • Inaccurate Readings:

Ensure the probe is inserted into the thickest part of the food and not touching bone or gristle. Allow 2-3 seconds for the reading to stabilize. If issues persist, the battery might be low, affecting accuracy.

  • Thermometer Not Turning On/Off Automatically:

Ensure the probe is fully unfolded or folded. If the issue persists, try manually turning it on/off with the button. Check for any obstructions around the probe hinge.
