Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your rooftop tent.

Condensation or Moisture Inside

  • Issue: Presence of moisture or condensation inside the tent.
  • Solution: The tent is equipped with a recessed marine pad and a condensation pad specifically designed to reduce humidity and prevent water droplet formation. Ensure proper ventilation by utilizing the mesh windows when weather permits. Always dry the tent thoroughly before packing to prevent mold.

Difficulty Opening/Closing

  • Issue: Tent does not open or close smoothly.
  • Solution: Check for any obstructions in the mechanism. Ensure the stainless steel air pressure levers are free from debris and operating correctly. Lubricate moving parts if necessary with a silicone-based lubricant.

Water Leakage

  • Issue: Water entering the tent during rain.
  • Solution: The tent features 5000 MM rainproof polyester fabric and special stitching to prevent seepage. Inspect the fabric for any tears or damage. Ensure all zippers are fully closed and the rain canopy is properly installed. Verify that the tent is pitched on a level surface to allow for proper water runoff.

Ladder Instability

  • Issue: The telescoping ladder feels unstable.
  • Solution: Ensure all sections of the 2.3m (7.5 FT) retractable ladder are fully extended and locked into place before use. Position the ladder on a firm, level surface and at a safe angle. Do not exceed the ladder's maximum load capacity of 300 lbs.
