1. Introduction

This user manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your WINWEND Endoscope Camera. 4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

The endoscope camera comes with a built-in Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, or when the battery is low, charge the device using the provided USB charging cable.

  1. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the charging port on the endoscope camera.
  2. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to a standard USB power adapter (e.g., phone charger, computer USB port) or a power bank.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 hours.
  4. Once fully charged, the device can operate for up to 3 hours.

4.2 Attaching the Semi-Rigid Cable

The 16.5ft semi-rigid cable is detachable for convenience.

  1. Align the connector of the semi-rigid cable with the port on the main unit of the endoscope camera.
  2. Gently push the cable connector into the port until it clicks securely into place.
  3. To detach, press the release button (if present) or pull firmly but carefully on the connector.

4.3 Attaching Accessories

The hook, magnet, and side mirror accessories can be attached to the camera probe tip for specialized tasks.

  1. Locate the threaded ring at the tip of the camera probe.
  2. Select the desired accessory (hook, magnet, or side mirror).
  3. Carefully screw the accessory onto the threaded ring until it is secure. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the POWER button located on the front panel until the screen illuminates. The device is ready for use immediately after powering on.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the POWER button again until the screen turns off.

5.2 Adjusting LED Brightness

The camera probe is equipped with 8 adjustable LED lights to illuminate the inspection area.

  • Press the Brighten Lights button (sun icon with plus) to increase the LED brightness.
  • Press the Dim Lights button (sun icon with minus) to decrease the LED brightness.

5.3 Image Rotation

To adjust the image orientation on the screen:

  • Press the 180° Rotate button (circular arrow icon) to rotate the image by 180 degrees. This is useful when the camera is in an inverted position.

5.4 Zoom Function

The device supports digital zoom to magnify the view.

  • Press the Zoom Button (magnifying glass with plus) to zoom in.
  • Press the Zoom out button (magnifying glass with minus) to zoom out.

5.5 Black and White Mode

For certain inspection scenarios, a black and white view can enhance contrast.

  • The device may have a dedicated button or a setting within the menu to switch between color and black & white display modes. Refer to the on-screen prompts if available.

5.6 General Usage Tips

  • For optimal image clarity, ensure the camera lens is clean.
  • Adjust the LED brightness to avoid glare or underexposure in the inspection area.
  • The focal range of the front camera is approximately 0.8 to 3.9 inches (2 to 10 cm). Position the camera within this range for the sharpest image.
  • The semi-rigid cable can be bent and held in shape to navigate around obstacles.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Camera Lens: Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth (not directly to the lens).
  • Cable and Main Unit: Wipe the semi-rigid cable and the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  • Ensure all parts are dry before storage.

6.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% every few months.
  • Use only the provided USB charging cable.

6.3 Storage

  • Store the endoscope camera and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the cable neatly coiled to prevent kinks or damage.
