3. Fitment and Compatibility
These running boards are custom-made for 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma Double/Crew Cab 4 Full Doors only. It is crucial to verify your vehicle's cab type before proceeding with installation to ensure proper fitment.

Please note that product design updates may occur. The step pad pattern may vary between older and newer stock, as shown in Figure 3.2. This does not affect the product's functionality or fitment.

4. Setup and Installation
The installation process typically involves attaching mounting brackets to existing factory holes on your vehicle's frame, and then securing the running boards to these brackets. No drilling is usually required for most applications.
4.1. Package Contents
Before beginning, ensure all components are present:
- 2 x Running Boards (Left and Right)
- 6 x Mounting Brackets
- All necessary installation hardware (bolts, washers, nuts)
4.2. Recommended Tools
- Socket Wrench Set
- Torque Wrench (for proper tightening)
- Safety Glasses
- Gloves
4.3. Installation Steps (General Guide)
- Identify Mounting Locations: Locate the pre-drilled mounting holes on your vehicle's frame, typically beneath the rocker panels.
- Attach Brackets: Secure the mounting brackets to the vehicle's frame using the provided hardware. Ensure they are oriented correctly (front, middle, rear). Do not fully tighten bolts at this stage.
- Position Running Boards: Carefully lift and align each running board with the attached brackets.
- Secure Running Boards: Attach the running boards to the brackets using the remaining hardware. Again, do not fully tighten.
- Adjust and Align: Adjust the position of the running boards to ensure they are level and properly aligned with the vehicle.
- Final Tightening: Once satisfied with the alignment, progressively tighten all bolts to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications. Start from the center and work outwards.
It is recommended to have a second person assist during installation to ensure proper alignment and safety.
5. Operating and Usage
The AutoBull Running Boards are designed for daily use to facilitate easier entry and exit from your truck. The 6-inch drop design provides a comfortable and secure step, especially beneficial for children or elderly individuals.
- Always step onto the running board with caution, ensuring stable footing.
- The anti-slip step pads provide secure traction in various conditions.
- Avoid jumping onto the running boards or using them for purposes other than stepping into or out of the vehicle.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and appearance of your running boards.
- Cleaning: Wash the running boards regularly with mild soap and water to remove dirt, mud, and road salt. Rinse thoroughly and dry to prevent water spots. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the black powder-coated finish.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect all mounting bolts and hardware for tightness. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to prevent rattling or instability.
- Corrosion Prevention: The carbon steel construction with anti-rust E-coating and heavy texture finish is designed to resist corrosion. However, regular cleaning, especially after exposure to harsh elements like road salt, will further protect the finish.
