2. Safety Information
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during installation, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the parking brake is engaged before beginning installation.
- If lifting the vehicle, use appropriate jack stands to secure it. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack.
- Do not overtighten bolts, as this can strip threads or damage components. Refer to torque specifications if available.
- Regularly inspect the running boards and mounting hardware for any signs of wear, damage, or looseness. Tighten as necessary.
- These running boards are designed for specific vehicle models. Verify compatibility before installation.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:

6. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for proper installation. It is recommended to have assistance for lifting and positioning the running boards.
6.1 Unpacking and Part Identification
Carefully unpack all components. The brackets and hardware are typically labeled to correspond with specific mounting points (e.g., 'R' for Right, 'L' for Left, and numbered positions). This labeling simplifies the installation process.

6.2 Attaching Brackets to Vehicle Frame
Locate the factory mounting points on your Jeep Gladiator's frame. Attach the corresponding brackets to these points using the provided hardware. Hand-tighten all bolts initially to allow for adjustments.

6.3 Mounting the Running Boards
Carefully lift each running board and align it with the installed brackets. Secure the running board to the brackets using the remaining hardware. Again, hand-tighten all bolts first.

6.4 Final Adjustments and Tightening
Once both running boards are loosely attached, adjust their position to ensure they are level and properly aligned with the vehicle's body. Once satisfied with the alignment, fully tighten all bolts using a socket wrench. It is recommended to use a torque wrench to tighten to the manufacturer's specified torque settings (if available) to prevent over-tightening or loosening over time.

7. Operating Instructions
The AutoBull Running Boards provide a convenient step for entering and exiting your Jeep Gladiator. The two-stairs design offers multiple stepping points for ease of use.
- When entering the vehicle, place your foot firmly on the step pad. The anti-slip surface provides secure footing.
- When exiting, use the step to safely lower yourself from the vehicle.
- Avoid placing excessive weight on the running boards beyond their stated capacity (550 lbs).

8. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your running boards, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Cleaning: Wash the running boards regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the black powder-coated finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check all mounting bolts and nuts for tightness. Re-tighten if any looseness is detected. Inspect the carbon steel structure and powder coating for any signs of damage, rust, or wear.
- Protection: The 2-layer coated carbon steel with anti-rust E-coating is designed for durability and weather resistance. However, extreme conditions may still affect the finish over time.

9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues, consider the following:
- Loose Fit: Recheck all mounting bolts and ensure they are tightened securely. Refer to the installation steps.
- Unusual Noise: Inspect for any loose components or contact points between the running boards and the vehicle frame. Adjust and tighten as needed.
- Rust/Corrosion: While designed to be anti-rust, prolonged exposure to harsh elements or damage to the coating can lead to corrosion. Clean affected areas and apply a rust-inhibiting paint if necessary.
