Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed below are present:

• 2 x FORLIM Electric Grinders
• 2 x USB-C Charging Cables
• 1 x Cleaning Brush
• 1 x User Manual

2. Charging the Grinders

Before initial use, fully charge both grinders. Each grinder is equipped with a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the grinder.
2. Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the grinder and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging. A full charge typically takes over 60 minutes.
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable. A single charge can provide 3 to 6 months of typical use.

3. Filling the Spice Chamber

The grinders feature an extra-large 9-ounce capacity chamber.

1. Twist the top section of the grinder counter-clockwise to detach it from the transparent spice chamber.
2. Fill the transparent chamber with your desired whole spices, such as peppercorns or coarse salt. Do not overfill.
3. Align the top section with the chamber and twist clockwise to secure it firmly.

4. Adjusting Coarseness

The grinders allow for adjustable coarseness, from fine to coarse.

1. Locate the adjustment knob on the bottom of the grinder, around the ceramic grinding mechanism.
2. Turn the knob clockwise for a finer grind.
3. Turn the knob counter-clockwise for a coarser grind.
4. Test the grind on a surface to achieve your preferred consistency.

Operation

1. Activating the Grinder

The FORLIM grinder features a gravity-activated mechanism and a safety switch.

1. Ensure the safety switch, located on the side of the grinder, is in the 'ON' position.
2. Simply tilt the grinder to an angle greater than 0 degrees (typically around 45 degrees or more) over your food. The grinding mechanism will automatically activate, and a blue LED light will illuminate to assist with visibility.
3. To stop grinding, return the grinder to an upright position (less than 0 degrees tilt).

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Spice Chamber

The transparent spice chamber is detachable and washable for easy cleaning.

1. Ensure the grinder is empty before cleaning.
2. Twist the top section counter-clockwise to separate it from the chamber.
3. Wash the transparent chamber with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before reassembling.
4. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any spice residue from the grinding mechanism. Do not immerse the motor unit in water.
5. Wipe the exterior of the grinder with a damp cloth.

2. Storage

Store the grinders in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture when not in use.
