Setup

Assembly

  1. Connect the aluminum tubes to form the desired height for the ground spike.
  2. Attach the assembled spike to the bottom of the repeller unit.

Placement

  • Choose a location in your garden, yard, or farm where animal activity is observed.
  • Ensure the solar panel on top of the unit receives direct sunlight for optimal charging.
  • Insert the assembled repeller into the ground using the spike.
  • Position the repeller so that the PIR sensor faces the area you wish to protect. The detection angle is 360°, and the range is up to 10 meters (33 feet).
  • Keep the repeller away from children and young children's activity areas.
  • Do not block the infrared sensor to ensure effective operation.

Operating Instructions

Selecting Operating Modes

The repeller features five adjustable modes. Press the "Gear Adjustment" button (labeled 6 in the product diagram) to cycle through the modes.

Diagram showing the five operating modes of the QueenMew Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller and their target animals.
Image: This diagram illustrates the five frequency adjustment modes of the QueenMew Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller. Mode 1 uses 13-23kHz ultrasonic frequency for small animals like cats, foxes, and deer. Mode 2 uses 23-66kHz ultrasonic frequency for larger animals like badgers and wild boars. Mode 3 activates a voice alarm. Mode 4 uses an LED flash light. Mode 5 cycles through all functions from modes 1 to 4.
  • Mode 1 (Default): Automatic switching ultrasonic frequency (13-23 kHz). Effective for small animals like cats, foxes, and deer.
  • Mode 2: Automatic switching ultrasonic frequency (23-66 kHz). Effective for larger animals like badgers and wild boars.
  • Mode 3: Voice Alarm mode. Emits an audible alarm sound.
  • Mode 4: LED Flash Light mode. Activates bright LED flashes.
  • Mode 5: Cycle mode. Automatically cycles through all functions of modes 1 to 4.

How it Works

Flowchart explaining how the QueenMew Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller operates.
Image: A flowchart detailing the operation of the QueenMew Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller. It shows the sequence: 1. Animal enters the protection range and triggers detection. 2. PIR sensor automatically detects the animal. 3. Repeller enters the corresponding working mode as set. 4. Disturbs the animal's nervous system. 5. Drives the animal away immediately.
  1. An animal enters the protection range of the repeller.
  2. The PIR sensor automatically detects the animal's motion and heat.
  3. The repeller activates the selected operating mode (ultrasonic sound, voice alarm, or LED flash).
  4. The emitted deterrent disturbs the animal's nervous system.
  5. The animal is driven away from the protected area.

The top part depicts infrared sensitivity detecting animals like dogs, cats, and birds. The bottom part shows sound sensitivity creating a deterrent field around the device, affecting animals such as pigs, cats, and raccoons.

Charging

The QueenMew Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller supports two charging methods:

Illustration of the two charging methods for the QueenMew Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller: solar energy charging and USB charging.
Image: This image displays the two charging methods for the repeller. On the left, solar energy charging is shown with sunlight hitting the solar panel. On the right, USB charging is depicted with a cable connected to the device, indicating its IP66 waterproof rating, high capacity battery, 4-6 hour full charge time, and long standby time.
  • Solar Energy Charging: The integrated solar panel charges the internal battery during daylight hours. Ensure the panel is exposed to direct sunlight for efficient charging.
  • USB Charging: For faster charging or during periods of low sunlight, connect the provided USB cable to the charging input interface (labeled 7) and a standard USB power source. A full charge typically takes 4-6 hours.

The device is designed for long standby times, lasting over half a year on a full charge.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the solar panel and sensor lenses with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. This ensures optimal charging and detection performance.
  • Battery Care: While the device is solar-powered, if stored for extended periods, ensure it is fully charged via USB before storage to prolong battery life.
  • Winter Storage: In areas with harsh winters, it is recommended to bring the unit indoors to protect it from extreme cold, although its IP66 rating provides good weather resistance.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device not turning on or low performance.Insufficient battery charge.Ensure the solar panel receives direct sunlight for several hours, or charge via USB for 4-6 hours.
Animals are not being repelled.Incorrect mode selected, blocked sensor, or animal habituation.
  • Try a different operating mode (e.g., Mode 5 for cycling all functions).
  • Ensure the PIR sensor is not obstructed.
  • Adjust the placement of the repeller to cover the animal's entry points.
  • Consider moving the device to a new location periodically to prevent habituation.
Detection range is limited.Sensor obstruction or improper placement.Clear any obstacles in front of the PIR sensor. Ensure the device is placed at an appropriate height and angle for optimal detection.
Audible alarm is too loud (if applicable). No specific volume adjustment. If the audible alarm (Mode 3) is too disruptive, select an ultrasonic-only mode (Mode 1 or 2) or the LED flash mode (Mode 4).
