Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly. Two people are recommended for easier installation.

4.1 Prepare the Area

  • Choose a flat, level outdoor surface for the kennel.
  • Clear the area of any debris, rocks, or sharp objects.

4.2 Assemble the Frame

  • Unpack all galvanized steel frame tubes.
  • Connect the horizontal and vertical frame tubes according to the diagram, forming the base and side panels. Ensure all connections are snug.
  • Secure connections using the provided bolts, nuts, and washers. Do not overtighten initially.

4.3 Attach Chain Link Mesh

  • Unroll the chain link mesh panels.
  • Attach the mesh to the assembled frame sections using the provided wire or cable ties. Start from one corner and work your way around, ensuring the mesh is taut.
  • Trim any excess wire or cable ties for a neat finish.

4.4 Install the Door

  • Position the door panel within the designated opening in the frame.
  • Attach the door hinges to the frame and door panel using the appropriate hardware.
  • Test the door to ensure it swings freely and the secure latch operates correctly.

4.5 Install the Roof Frame and Cover

  • Assemble the roof frame structure, typically a peaked design, and attach it to the top of the main kennel frame.
  • Drape the UV and waterproof cover over the roof frame.
  • Secure the cover to the frame using the provided rubber bands or bungee cords, ensuring it is taut and covers the entire roof area to prevent water pooling.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Frame: Wipe down the galvanized steel frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent as needed. Rinse thoroughly and dry to prevent water spots.
  • Mesh: The chain link mesh can be hosed down to remove dirt and debris.
  • Cover: The UV and waterproof cover can be cleaned with a soft brush, water, and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the material. Ensure the cover is dry before storage to prevent mildew.

6.2 Inspection

  • Regularly check all bolts, nuts, and connections to ensure they remain tight.
  • Inspect the chain link mesh for any broken wires or sharp edges. Repair or replace as necessary.
  • Examine the cover for tears, holes, or signs of wear. A damaged cover may compromise its weather-resistant properties.
  • Verify that ground anchors are still firmly in place.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Kennel Instability

  • Issue: The kennel feels wobbly or unstable.
  • Solution: Ensure all frame connections are fully tightened. Verify that the ground anchors are properly installed and secured into firm ground. If the ground is uneven, consider placing leveling blocks under the frame.

7.2 Water Pooling on Cover

  • Issue: Water collects on the roof cover after rain.
  • Solution: Ensure the cover is stretched taut and evenly distributed over the roof frame. Re-adjust the rubber bands or bungee cords to eliminate slack. Check that the roof frame is correctly assembled to maintain its peaked shape.

7.3 Door Not Latching Securely

  • Issue: The door latch does not engage properly.
  • Solution: Check for any obstructions preventing the door from closing completely. Inspect the latch mechanism for damage or misalignment. Adjust the door hinges if necessary to ensure proper alignment with the latch.
