Image 2: Senzooe XY-SA30 Temperature Controller. This image shows the main unit of the temperature controller. It has a gray casing with a prominent blue digital display. The display currently reads 15.7°C and indicates an 'ON' status. Below the main temperature, it shows 'Start Temp 30.0' and 'Stop Temp 40.0'. There are four green control buttons: an 'Up' arrow, a 'Down' arrow, a 'Set' button (gear icon), and a 'Power' button. A black cable for the temperature probe is visible extending from the left side of the unit.
Key Features:
- Digital display for real-time temperature monitoring.
- Automatic temperature control with programmable start and stop temperatures.
- High current capacity (30A).
- External temperature probe for accurate readings.
5. Setup
5.1 Wiring Diagram (Conceptual)
Note: A detailed wiring diagram is typically printed on the device or included in a separate sheet. Always refer to the specific diagram provided with your unit. The following describes general connection points:
- Power Input: Connect the main power supply (e.g., 110V/220V AC) to the designated input terminals. Ensure correct polarity if applicable.
- Load Output: Connect the heating or cooling device (load) to the output terminals. The controller will switch power to this load based on temperature settings.
- Temperature Probe: Insert the temperature probe into the dedicated probe input port. Ensure it is securely connected and placed in the environment where temperature needs to be measured.
5.2 Initial Power On
- After all wiring is complete and verified, apply power to the controller.
- The digital display should illuminate, showing the current measured temperature.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Setting Temperature Parameters
The controller typically operates in two modes: heating or cooling. The mode is determined by the relationship between the start and stop temperatures.
- Set Start Temperature:
- Press and hold the SET button (gear icon) until the 'Start Temp' value flashes.
- Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to adjust the desired start temperature.
- Press SET again to confirm and move to the stop temperature setting, or wait a few seconds for it to save automatically.
- Set Stop Temperature:
- After setting the start temperature, the 'Stop Temp' value should flash.
- Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to adjust the desired stop temperature.
- Press SET again to confirm and exit the setting mode, or wait a few seconds for it to save automatically.
- Heating Mode: If Start Temperature < Stop Temperature, the controller will activate the load when the temperature drops below the Start Temperature and deactivate it when it reaches the Stop Temperature.
- Cooling Mode: If Start Temperature > Stop Temperature, the controller will activate the load when the temperature rises above the Start Temperature and deactivate it when it drops to the Stop Temperature.
6.2 Power On/Off
Press the POWER button (on/off icon) to toggle the controller's operation on or off. When off, the display may still show the current temperature but will not control the load.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Probe Inspection: Periodically check the temperature probe for damage or corrosion. Ensure it is clean and properly positioned for accurate readings.
- Electrical Connections: Regularly inspect wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from wear or damage.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display is off | No power supply; Loose connection | Check power source; Verify all wiring connections. |
| Temperature reading inaccurate | Probe damaged or improperly placed | Inspect probe for damage; Ensure probe is correctly positioned in the measurement area. |
| Load not switching | Incorrect temperature settings; Wiring error; Controller in OFF state | Review Start/Stop temperature settings; Check load wiring; Ensure controller is powered ON. |
